DISCUSS: Is your girl wrong for not making the plate?

Now as far as another woman fixing my plate, I certainly know better to encourage it, that's just out of respect for my wife. I'll thank the other woman but she can fix someone else's plate. To me that would be like letting another man do something around the house. That is a no fly zone.

Fighting about such insignificant situations like these are the reason why lots of couples are unhappy or why a lot of people are single.

Bunch of drama queens.

Instead of telling your girl you're hungry like you're some child and she's shes your mother, get your *** up, ask your girl if SHES hungry and go fix both of you some plates.

I was raised better than to act like somebody needs to cater to me.

why can't I get my own plate in that scenario? disability? if so, the gf is an inconsiderate *******

Because it's in ya significants other's job description to fix her man a plate, B. It's da shiverry

Can u even imagine if it was the other way around?

If a dude fixed yo girls plate?
Can you even imagine the repercussions? ??

Might as well smash her right in front of me.

Son's body would be laid out on the floor before he can even get the plate back to my girl. And that's straight fax. Matter fact, I'd throw the food on his face and eat it off his body word to nyotaimori

Start a thread about opening a door or pulling a chair out for a woman and watch these same ****** be all "she got hands why can't she do it for herself."

You're missing the point of the scenario. In certain cultures women like to cater to their man by doing this like fixing him a plate of food at an outing. No she's not his "slave" for doing this. Yes he could probably do it himself but a woman shouldnt/wouldn't allow another woman to do it for her man

so then it depends on the culture? if so which? And what's the expected result- cat fight?

Im not gonna say it's 100% through every culture but I saw this question originally on my facebook being commented on by black people saying they wouldnt allow another woman to fix their man a plate. Also I'm Nigerian so the woman in that culture would fix their man a plate of food outside as well.

It's kind of like a thread we had recently where dudes was saying non american women tend to cater to their man more like waking up at 5:30am to fix their man breakfast.

I'm fixing my own plate at a cookout. If it's a get together at one of her family member cribs she'll usually fix me a plate but I never ask. She just does it

Im also Nigerian and the women prepared my plate every single time. I have never seen anyone else prepare my fathers plate besides my mom. Its just something that we do and men have their roles and expectations.

If you're at a cookout, you're presumably with friends/family. I put together plates and serve others all the time--it's what people do for other people for whom they are friendly with or related to.

What kind of cookouts are you attending where people aren't trying to eat, and be generally merry with the people they came with, and where there is the worry of other women trying to steal the men of other women at the cookout?

I can definitely see a woman having a problem with this, also it could also be the other woman simply being generous. The more "independent" these women become, the more they stray away from traditional values. It's funny how lots of people are quick to label something a man's job" taking it the trash, fixing things, in some cases pumping gas, but get offended when you say what a woman should be doing. Women usually only want equality if it benefits them.

The stupidity of OP's scenario is astounding. Two adults who are supposedly in a relationship--the man is too lazy or incompetent to scoop food onto a plate for himself, the female who is also too stubborn (i.e., needs to constantly demonstrate her eternal fight against the hegemony) to scoop onto a plate for another adult with whom she's in a relationship, but will be angry at any else who is attempting to solve this situation by scooping food for the man.

This is notwithstanding the fact that neither of these people actually cooked the food--they're just two people who showed up but are unwilling to scoop food onto a plate.

This can't be a real life debate

you're a chauvinistic pig if you need a woman to fix you a plate

fix your own damn plate like a real man

Yall so damn judgmental. Different cultures do things differently. I wouldn't mind making my own plate but I wouldn't be surprised if I were to see it happen somewhere. It's basically a gesture of appreciation for holding stuff down at home and being the man of the house.

Scenario:
You and ya shorty are at a cookout, and you say that you're hungry. You let your girl know that your hungry, but she's not the type to go around "fixing plates" for dudes so she ignores you. Another woman overhears this and steps up and says "I'll fix his plate". She prances away and comes back with a plate for you. With extra meat. Does your girl have a problem with this?

Discuss
If you want a plate just ask her to fix a plate.

Women play games like this.

Fam, when you sexy yaself up on the daily, it doesn't matter where you at. Another woman gon try and take you from ya girl.
