IMO this 12 hype came out of NO where! Literally just had to wire my homie some money to pick up a pair for my daughter [emoji]128531[/emoji]
 
When the rep is saying your card is declining, when really you got jacked for your size because the rep was going so slow.

Man some of the reps are def real relaxed while you trying to get your info thru. I was trying to be nice yet get my order thru when I was phone ordering my blue chrome foams via Eastbay.
 
They must be slow. when someone posted my size as soon as I hung up. I knew it was over

Both eastbay and footlocker told me they can't sell these anymore.

Those CdPs were the last of the Zoom insole. OGs and 04s had full length Zoom. The CdP had just the forefoot. The 12's from '11 on had some kind of foam cushioning. These new 12's feel like bricks compared to the 04s or the OGs.

12's always have had full length Zoom (and still do)....

Hey hey now, there is only 1 Sak... and he's a one man show...

Have you ever placed your feet in OGs? Then 04s? Then 11's? Then these 16s'??
Just because JB states that it has full-length zoom, it does....

It sure doesn't feel like it....

A lot of times when a shoe feels clunky when it should otherwise not be (based on type of cushioning), it is due to a cellulose (cardboard) layer placed in between the zoom unit and the mesh that lies directly under the insole. This spreads the impact out over a larger area and creates a firmer, less cush feel. 

For the record, I have not worn the OG's, '04's, or the CDP's. I began liking 12's in 2012 with the Playoffs/Obsidians. 
 
There is def a difference between the OG's and retros in terms of feel. OG's were def softer in the case of the XII's as is usually these days. One problem the OG's had that I'm glad  got fixed was the top two eyelets used to strip the laces. The laces on the OG's were thicker and if you pulled the laces too fast they would strip the outer layer. Happened on my OG taxis.

that doesn't mean there isn't zoom but it may just be that the density of the zoom unit isn't the same as the older pairs which is why they don't have the same bounce as older pairs
