Given our proximity to the cap, a one year gamble on Wes isn't that bad.

He's only been in the league for 4, 5 years and has been in terrible situations from day 1.

The idea is that with a reduced role with better players, he can become a competent NBA wing. I'll allow it. Hopefully, playing with a CP, Blake, Paul Pierce, JJ, he can kind of become a player for us this season.

Watch Wes Johnson excel in his role. NT hates him but he's as serviceable as Matt Barnes but I know nt hates Barnes too.
You were one minute ahead of me and I typed almost the same thing you did

Bruh I'm sorry, you're my dude and I got love for you.

But you can't spin Wes Johnson into being anything other than a bum bruh.

Just admit it and get it over with. You'll be okay lol

He's young, and has tools.

He has had a less than stellar NBA career thus far, sure.

But when you look at the Clippers situation, this gamble makes sense, no matter how you want to spin it. He's only been in the league for 5 years and hasn't played on anything near a playoff team in the league thus far. You put him with competent NBA talent like CP, Blake, etc., condense his role a bit, and he could become a serviceable NBA wing.

It's a worthy gamble.

I've come to the conclusion that some fans will overlook ANYTHING when it come to there team.

Some just can't face that some players are just TRASH.

Only on NT can we find the minimal good in the mounds of bad.

Example:

"Eddy Curry has signed with XXXX team"

XXXX fan: "Eddy Curry will be cheap, and will bring veteran leadership to the team. Also, he will be motivated from being out of the league. I honeslty think he can shine in his role and contribute"

i was really hoping tyrus thomas would have made his way back into the league
with the amount of bums you see on different rosters, its really sad he couldnt do it.

I'm not even saying that Wes is good or anything.

Simply saying that given our situation, it's a worthy gamble and perhaps him playing with actual NBA all star level talent could change the trajectory of his career.

Crazy thought, I know

shoeking spins it better than Bill O'Reilly. There's a reason his nickname is Fox News.

i thought that too when he came to the Lakers.

He's like an extremely dumb Rudy Gay lulz.

Wes is not good man . Signing him is not a "gamble", it's dumpster diving when you screwed up and have no other options. He's the fat chick at the bar after closing time

He may very well be an extremely dumb Rudy Gay.

But do you believe playing with that Laker roster aided in his dumbness

Cant say it did and cant say it didnt. He's been pretty consistent so far in his career tho, i dont see it changing

When your offense is in a groove and there's 16 secs left on the shot clock, dude's the type to do a double step back into a contested 3 and brick lulz.

Wes Johnson has played in 349 and started 269 of them. That's 77% of his career games and he has not once averaged 10 PPG or 5 RPG or 2 APG his ENTIRE career, after 5 seasons.

Going to a team with a group of all-stars isn't going to "improve" his game, it's just going to hide that he's TRASH.

We'll see.

All i'm saying is that for a one year deal when we can only offer the vets minimum, it's a worthy gamble.

And seeing as he's going from the likes of sacre to blake griffin and jeremy lin and ronnie price to Chris Paul, that could bold well for LAC.

It's no guarantee that this will work out, but the Clips are in dire straits as far as trying to fill out the roster with any sort of competence.
