The homosexual vibrations are just getting stronger by the day. IM NOT HOMOPHOBIC BUT THIS IS BEING FORCED DOWN OUR THROATS ON A DAILY BASIS VIA NEWS, TV SHOWS, BOOKS AND SPORTS AND THAT IS A CONSPIRACY BY DEFINITION.

Lol you mad bruh?

Yeah you mad.

I hope gay people continue to enter every level of society that makes you uncomfortable.

Quoted so you can't edit.
quoted again so i dont have to worry about explaining what gay culture is because if go to the gay parade in nyc, its a flaming celebration is it not? Doesnt gay pride signify being proud of your sexuality and flaunting it as flamboyantly as possible?

A flaming celebration?

IDK, I see people of all different walks of life, gay, bi and straight, flamboyant and reserved, male and female, trans, etc coming together to support the LGBT community in a peaceful manner.

You see something else I guess, since you can't see past your own hate.

At a recent BBQ, my cousin's girl told me that the prejudice/discrimination against gay folks = the same as black prejudice/segregation/slavery.

I didn't know how to respond.

Some immediate responses to this ruling from a former college teammate of mine

I don't go to church very often, but I've been saying my prayers right before I go to sleep (no matter what time) every single day for the last 14 years, so I'm struggling to figure out a couple things:

1) How is something forced on you that you're not actually involved in?
2) Rise up to what?
3) What's our backbone?

I hate to even entertain this, but but I saw those posts all I could think was
tumblr_nesxmkxM4v1ttma2yo1_250.gif

1. That ***** need to step his grammar game up
2. Why doesn't he just move to a country where gay people are bashed, killed, and forbidden? That way, he won't be doomed to hell afterwards.
3. Hownafuuu does this effect him in anyway? Does he do this when people divorce, eat shrimp, have premarital sex, or mix fabrics?

I don't agree with the conspiracy angle, but I do feel its being forced upon people...

And its totally unfair to chastise people that disagree just because they disagree.

when i turn on the news and theres a 5 min piece on the pride parade and there showing ymca doppelgangers, dudes in daisy dukes, and high heels with makeup iam just imagining that right? Its only a small portion of the lgbt community you say. So why is the whole parade and coverage focused on the flamboyant individuals???

Is it possible to support gay marriage and still believe in God and have some religious values?

Marriage has deviated so far from religion that you can just see it as something else entirely. I mean marriage itself is just a word. You can look at people getting married as a legal thing and have the church have it's own way of bringing two people together.

But as far as marriage as a union based in Christianity. Honestly, I think it's weird if you believe in a religion then half step on what is supposed to be god's words. If you believe that's ACTUALLY the word of god, I don't see how you can just shrug it off like "nah, I don't like that bit there." The bible says that marriage is only between a man and woman, so it doesn't make sense to me if a gay couple gets married and sees it as a religious union. So I don't think you can be Christian and support gay marriage in the religious sense because it literally says in the text, which is suppose to be god's words, that that can't happen.

But again, I think you can just see it as two different things at this point. I'm Agnostic and don't see marriage at all as a union as described in the bible. I could give two craps about the bible with all due respect. But If I was gay and Christian, I'd probably justify getting married in my head as "okay, this isn't marriage as god described it. But this is something me and my significant other are doing to show our commitment to one another"
I think the bolded text nails it.

I am a strong believer in God and a Christian. I do not support gay marriage, because of what it says in The Bible - That God created marriage (my belief) for man and woman and nothing else. In addition to not support gay marriage, I don't support things in the same category (divorce, adultery, etc.)

Now, it gets very very very hard when looking at gay marriage. I see being gay as a sin that people are born with and they choose to fall-in to that sin. Similar to pornography addiction, alcohol addiction, etc. Most importantly, The Bible views all sins the same. So, although I do not agree with it or support it (just like I don't agree with pornography, alcohol addiction, etc.) ....I am not better than those that are gay. I sin just like everyone else does. Who am I to say you can't do this/that if I am doing certain things that are viewed in the same light (since all sins are the same) as this/that?

It's tough. So, if it was up to me, marriage would be man and woman. But, it's not up to me to judge.

Same reason why the media focuses on certain aspects of other social demonstrations.

They like to glorify the extremes.

It brings ratings.

You know this already though.

Even still though, what's wrong with some gay people being flamboyant? Why you so mad bruh?

You furious!!!

But what's wrong with picking and choosing what parts apply to you as a Christian?

Because people don't literally EVERYDAY.

I don't mind those that are selective Christians. Just be real with it.

People always refer to the bible with gay marriage but skip over the other stuff that's super prevalent today, like divorce, premarital sex, and adultery...

And then you said people are born into sin, right? So if a baby is born straight, he's sin free but the gay baby isn't? That's totally unfair.

Not saying this is about religious inconsistencies... I'm just saying what's wrong with being a selective Christian?

As long as you're not harming others, killing people, or being a universal doosh, then be selective, famb.

But why should anyone give a **** that ya'll disagree though?

Folks can and should be able to feel however they want to feel. But when they voice such opinions don't be salty because ignorance is met with mockery.

He's not even close to being mad so let's throw that out.

People were in the Bruce Jenner, Rachel dolezal, and Mike brown threads saying the same thing.

While I don't agree, I think he has a point

Someone remove this guy from the thread already

You can't remove someone with a differing opinion if they're being respectful
