...and to keep it 100, there's really not too much sadness surrounding this because he was quite elderly, so it was expected.

More like a "damn, he really lived life" kinda reflection...

Know that feel. My great grandfather passed this week at 98. Had been married 77 years. Did a lot of service work, and its been incredible to see how many people have been extending condolesences and thank yous.

Not trying to take away from your cousin and his tremendous sacrifices though. Rest in Peace. I envy that you knew a Tuskeegee Airman so well and hope that you soaked up that knowledge like a sponge.

The wildest part is how me any the rest of my cousins are lookin at it like, "Woah - our elders are dying off here" - one of those "All Eyez On Me" kinda feels...

...man we've got some big shoes to fill.
