I was just thinking, when Instagram was first introduced it was simply a way to capsulize moments worth photographing. Now you have...well. I don't have an Instagram for that reason. But those who do, is it really worth it?

I use instagram for just photography shots of my travels.

It depends on what your on IG for and who you add. There's a lot of IG'ers out there that do it for the love of photography....not to make IG a commodity or help "sell" themselves.

IG was cool at first. Now it's just for escorts, strippers and dudes taking the same kind of sneaker photos. Fake ***** and sneakers in puddles.

OP, why do you think IG was ever anything other than an attention ***** competition? It didn't start off as "innocent." It was basically an off-shoot of the attention whoring competition from FB Pictures. So it is what it has always been

I have two IG accounts, personal and one for my website. Personal I only post pictures I feel are cool, artsy, or I look good in (rarely post pics of myself). Website, it's limited to just sports stuff and I only follow athletes, teams, sports related accounts.
