I won't dispute you :lol: but those balco years were just surreal. i remember watching him take the record off chan ho park and waking up my whole house. parents were tight at me. bonds could've kept playing another season or two in the AL if he wanted to.
 
look bros...what are we exactly saying here if he DID take roids?  Does it make you hit a 100mph fastball? Does it give you super human strength to hit a HR?  Do you recover faster?

Go to GNC right now and you can find growth hormones, BCAA, Aminos, Creatine, etc for all the above.....lets not cast shadow on his greatness by saying Roids helped this dude out.  He was/is GOAT.  Peeps hated on him, and he was vindicated via the court of law

one of the strongest hitters in the game with tremendous bat speed. big dude too, 6'6". couldve hit 60 this year if he was healthy. most likely clean too. just wish he'd had a better average even though its meaningless.

I'm sorry I guess I am just assuming that you aren't much different than the A's fans that I know that hate Barry.  I take it back my assumption.  So why is it that you hate Barry then if its not because of the steroid situation?

He clearly used, I don't know any logical person that denies it. It's documented, it's obvious, it's known. What the discussion that follows is 1) do you care, 2) what level of effect did it have on him
 
Great ball player but he'll never be the GOAT in my eyes. The steroid use was too blatant. A great player and fun to watch. He'll be in my top 5, just like my man Alex. Both on roids.

Nothing that has to do with his game. He's unquestionably one of the greatest players ever. I just don't like his persona and enjoy seeing his media persona take hit after hit. That he won't ever see himself enshrined in the HoF is an unfortunate stain on Cooperstown but I'll leave the argument for his entry to the stats and his stans.
 
I think it's dumb to leave the steroid era out when baseball allowed it then cared after it helped bring the fans back
 
My favorite part of the 2002 world series was when the Angels denied Bonds of his only chance at a ring. Great series
