The NBA Draft Thread

I really liked Frank Jackson coming out of high school but that man showed nothing to me this past year that would make me feel like it was a good decision for him to leave school already. If they won the national championship and he was a part of it and it was raising his stock like Tyus a couple years ago then sure...but otherwise I just don't get it.

The anticipation for this night is how I got banned from the Lakers Season Thread

Do the right thing, Silver

Why is the owner of the celtics there at the lottsry? Shouldn't someone from the nets be there instead since technically it's their pick  (unless the switch is already "official")?

Ahh the hate only fuels us. Ideal situation: Lakers, Suns, Pelicans, Celtics, Sixers. For the culture.

They have a pick swap and there's like .000000 percent chance that Boston's pick is higher than Brooklyn's

Haha well yeah but I mean, is the swap official? Like in terms of legally and stamped and signed off and all that.

Edit: I'm assuming here that it's bostons choice/not automatic, and that it'll be official after the lottery.

Plus I would love to see a nets official have to sit there and then "accept" the first pick

Yeah I know  but you're right, I'm a man of logic! I need these fine DEEE-tails to make my mind not so WOR-EEEED

I wonder what Hayward is thinking? Is Boston able to sign him out right this summer or would they need to move some pieces in a sign and trade to make it work - some sort of combo involving their draft pick, Smart, AB, Rozier, etc? Would they even want to give up their pick if it meant a return of Hayward?

Geezus, 8:30pm is going to have dudes going bananas with all types of speculation

Man, Magic's reaction is going to be gif worthy one way or another tonight.

I'm scared. :wow:

Boston has enough money to max him out without moving pieces. The question then becomes, will he leave Utah?

If I'm Boston he's my #1 target. Maxing him out plus keeping all your guys? Literally an ideal scenario.

Hamidou Diallo has great length and athleticism but will probably be a bust since he's from NYC.  When's the last time a NYC player actually turned out good?

Yea Diallo grew up couple blocks away from me. Wishing him all the best, the kid definitely has the confidence, but no way is he NBA ready.
