The NBA Draft Thread

I see Draftexpress has Orlando taking Issac

Leaving Lauri for Thibbs and KAT. I don't object

If Sac can end up with Tatum and Smith, you can't eem be mad

I'm really trying to figure out how PHX takes Fox though. I've seen him there in other mocks too. Guess they're gonna trade Bledsoe?

Tatum and DSJ would be an incredible haul for Sacramento. That has to be the best case scenario for them.

I think Phoenix are going to try to move both Bledsoe and Knight. They definitely love them some Kentucky guards there though

Knight for sure has to be on the move, I still can't believe they gave him 70K to be a 6th man

Doesn't look so bad these days

Buddy finished the season pretty good as well :nerd:
Averaged 15PPG and shot 42% from 3 once he got to Sactown. Pairing him with Fox or DSJ in the backcourt would be pretty awesome.

DSJ (19)
Buddy (23)
Tatum (19)
Skal (21)
WCS (23)

Sactown could have a nice little future.

I think I am the only Laker fan on the planet that really wants Jackson at #2.

He check marks every box except being a solid shooter. His shooting can improve. His form looks a little funky but he's not even as bad as some people act like he is.

Everything else he brings to the court is elite as a prospect. I don't get why he's being so overlooked right now.

What is Josh Jackson actually elite at besides his athleticism? I just didn't and still don't see it. I think his defense is overrated.

Have you not watched the strengths video on Draftexpress? There is 10 minutes of footage and explanation of everything he's great at outside of just "athleticism."

You are making it seem like he's only a combine warrior with great athletic measurables. He puts his athleticism to actual great and functional use on a basketball court at a high level, you are discrediting his basketball IQ and talent by categorizing him as "only" an elite athlete, imho.

I'm not a Laker fan, but I feel like he's the best option for them. Jack of all trades. Actually cares about defense. Lakers going to be one of the worst defensive teams in history with a core of Lonzo/DLo/Ingram(only one who actually tries)/Randle.

Good to see yall finally waking up to the kings :pimp:

Does it even matter that markennen is 7 foot tall? Given his style of play, what difference does it make?

Jackson is hard for me to gauge. Potential is there but he's more likely to disappoint than he is to be the next kawhi/Jimmy imo. And yea his defense is overrated, boy gonna get cooked to a crisp early on like any other rookie

Yes I have seen that video. I was asking you what he's ELITE at? He's not an elite defender, playmaker, scorer, shooter, rebounder, etc. He obviously does several things well, but if he was as great as you're projecting, he'd be a no brainer at no. 1.

Na defensive forwards idc how elite you are, are almost never taken #1. I doubt he'll be as good as Butler, PG, or Kawhi but he's the exact piece you need.

He's like a SF version of Draymond to me. Does all the things right to win. Would change the entire identity of that Lakers team.

We don't need him when the actual PG13 is on the way.

Lakers need the BBB or Fox.

Lauri can draw a big out to the perimeter, help open up the lane for drives to the bucket

Definitely matters that he's 7 foot

Skal is solid but I dont think he's good enough to be a starter on a good team. First big off the bench? Sure.
