So far, so good.
Hit them with a deep clean to start. Oxy Clean & stupid hot water. Then RIT whitener/brightener for the netting. I retrobrite'd the toe cap, eyelet holder 'wings', and heel branding.
..the wings didn't come clean like I had hoped. Have to go harder there to get that light grey back on point.
The midsole is in great shape, by far the most intact part of the shoe, somehow.
But? The upper?
Even after I stuff them and iron them? ..the paint is tore up. Dings and scratches everywhere. Zero chance I can get by w/out airbrushing the leather a fresh white.
..that'll be last.
I need Reshoevena8r or JM I think, too. The cleaner I have currently ( Mint product I think ) just can't get the grey nubuck clean enough. It's noticeably darker than it should be.
All in all? They already went from an F to a C+
I'm only going to beat them into the ground again, AND now it looks like I'll have a chance at a fresh remaster too, but I'm still not putting them back on the ground until I get them to at LEAST a B+.
