"Concussion" starring Will Smith regarding the NFL and head injures 12/25/2015

Fun fact: Channing Tatum is the first actor ever to star in three movies that made over 100mil in one year

Will's last movie Focus was terrible which quickly hit redbox.

This one will also fail horribly and end up at redbox in less than 2 months.

Bad part on Sony by dropping this in December when Star Wars Episode VII is coming out and also Quentin Tarantino's new movie The Hateful Eight comes out also the same month.

Will's ego also got HUGE long before The Pursuit Of Happiness and started back when he did Ali and everyone gave him props and kissed his A*s.

I'm surprised Will didn't force Jaden onto to this movie also.

That's just a secondary reason. The main reason was cause he didn't want to face any backfire of playing a role where he kills a bunch of white people throughout a movie

This article for any of you morons that don't think Big Willy is the biggest movie star in the world

PS: Dwayne Johnson is a better actor?
Goodnight, everyone!

This is the article I was referring to earlier  very good read and makes a lot of sense. Smith has been extremely strategic about his roles, which is why after all these years, he's still banking money.

Wonder if the NFL is gunna sue for this movie coming out
Would be an extremely stupid move by the NFL which would just give the movie extra publicity and the controversy would just make more people want to see the movie regardless if it's good or not, similar to what happened with The Interview. It would just do more damage to the NFL and make the look like the bad guys who are trying to hide something and in the process make profits off something that knowingly harms people. It would be similar like had the tobacco companies tried to sue Michael Mann for releasing The Insider, which this movie reminds me of with the middle aged and old men running the NFL being the equivalent of tobacco company executives.
Posted this in the NFL discussion thread. Story that the movie is based on

I tried to read the article and in the first paragraph I saw this:
Omalu did not, unlike most 34-year-old men living in a place like Pittsburgh, have an appreciation for American football. He was born in the jungles of Biafra during a Nigerian air raid, and certain aspects of American life puzzled him.
Really? Born in a jungle?
tired.gif
Did his spear chucking mother manage to catch him before he fell on the ground while she was giving birth to him on top of a tree?

why do they ******* care b? let the nfl cook. ******* punks I swear. what do they even hope to accomplish with this hating *** movie? you got blackfish ******* up my opportunities to take my future kids to see shamu and now you got these **** boys tryna tell me jj watt should play softer and dudes should play in marshmellow helmets and sumo suits. foh b. foh will smith. foh with that accent. foh with that black ice hair.

This reminds me of game of thrones when Kalisi wanted to ban the fighting pits.

Always one extreme or another with NTers  :smh:

Will Smith was/is a great movie star. He's a slightly above average actor. He had the potential to be a great actor once upon a time. Leave it at that. Yall d-riding so hard or hating so hard it just becomes pathetic.

He's not GOAT and he's not trash. Yeah his movies don't do #s like they use to but he isn't out here stinking it up with flops after flops. His past few movies haven't been good but the movies he's done the past decade have not been all garbage.

As for the trailer, this got me interested. I don't mind the accent. Right up there with Leo's accent and Cheadle's accent. I think some of yall are just not use to that voice coming out of Will's face. So that's why yall kinda are disbelieving so hard. It shows a level of commitment that's a bit more subtle that many I guess wouldn't expect from Will.

Am I missing something with the whole NFL won't like this and try to sabotage the movie? Yeah they've been shady but this aint the 80s even they have acknowledged the head trauma and long term effects of concussions playing in the league causes. I haven't been in all of the threads in S&T but is there some rumors about the NFL trying to shut this down?
You must be trolling. He had grown men in the theater shedding tears.

Anyway, can't wait to see this movie. Will one of the GOAT actors.

They just s.o.f. capital T.

People stay overrating this man.

GOAT?

People are so emotionally invested in celebrities. It really is a sad day.

Willard wants that Oscar so damn bad. It's not gonna happen, though. He was always always charming, but never particularly talented. Will Smith is the acting equivalent of Jay-Z on NT. His minions will fight until death with the understanding that they will be avenged by 2 more just like them.

With that said, Willard has been trash for quite some time. Ali, Pursuit of Happyness, I am Legend, 7 Pounds, After Earth, etc.: ALL TRASH.

This movie will have no impact whatsoever. People are acting like Will Smith is some type of box office draw. Like Focus didn't happen.

Dwayne Johnson is legitimately a more polished thespian than Willard Smith. Same can be said for LL Cool J.
I was with you with the Jay-Z comparison. I was about to make one myself. That's on point.

Everything else is nonsense. LL Cool J and The Rock are better? or to quote "more polished thespian" The **** kind of dust you on? Stuff like that really just makes it seem like you just salty about what you yourself bring up about ppl thinking Will is better than Tom.

Nice try. If it's so much about the art and talent, why do box office numbers matter?

Matter to who?

They don't matter to me.

Genre, actor, my boys recommendations, NT, rotten tomato, in that order is how I choose what to watch.

I honestly have never cared about numbers.

Will has proven time and time again that he's incapable of giving a great performance. So it would be nice if he would would fill the theaters. Technology rules the box office right now so Will can still do decent numbers. But anyone who thinks the general public is longing for Will Smith's next performance needs to get a grip.

Will Smith as a law enforcement or military officer generally works. Will Smith as anything else generally doesn't.

LL Cool J on NCIS >>>> anything dramatic Will Smith has attempted.

James is the superior MC and the better dramatic actor.

Ludacris is a slept on actor. I'm not sure why Luda hasn't pursued more roles, dude can act.
