South Park Season 19 Thread 9/16

I laughed when the ep started and it was about yaoi. I recognize the word but never have pronounced.

When I first found out about this ****, it soured me to anime. There are actual cartoons that are in the yaoi genre. I got a good laugh @ SP tackling it.

@ the Japanese deciding who is gay and who isn't.

@ PC Principal.
I think it was the last song that had the Japanese dude singing.

When it went to Craig's dad in bed and the singer just started yelling **** in Japanese and woke him up, was legit cramping up from laughing so hard.
That had me too.

PC Principal always getting on that one wrong when there's school assembly.

Apparently tweak and craig specific yaoi art is real and been going on for years. That's scary

I read the oldest artwork they used on the show was from EIGHT years ago. Matt and Trey have been sitting on this one for awhile.

I missed something from the last episode.

Why was Butters in that halo brace.

Just remembered Cartman and Cupid Me shenanigans.

Butters got so overworked censoring the tweets that he tried to commit suicide, but failed

^I almost forgot that too but then I remembered and was like yeah they're keeping continuity tight this season

Was it ever explained why/how Kenny would stop dying and just coming back to life? I know about the ep where he died and went o heaven or hell to lead that war and play it like a video game but it was never explained why they stopped killing him and bringing him back. Just a writer's choice to address it and then lay off it?

Matt and trey got tired of the joke (and ran out of ideas), so they stopped killing him. Later on, they established that he's immortal, and merely wakes up in his bed the following morning. They still kill him from time to time, but it's funnier when you're not expecting it. There's also some subtext there related to his parents crapping out a bunch of kids they can't afford to take care of. That's why Kenny is always looking out for his sister.

Isn't Kenny immortal and gets reborn after each death?

edit: yeah what he said ^

Yeah the wanting to **** a Cupid version of yourself and it just being his imagination he was jerking off too was so weird and like it came out of nowhere.

We all know he's narcissistic and has a huge ego but to the extent Cartman is gay for himself? That whole gay bar scene  :smh:

South Park about to be wild this week.

http://www.ew.com/article/2015/11/09/south-park-police

South Park is taking on police violence. The show’s recent mocking of political correctness will continue this week by showing what happens when the Colorado mountain town decides they no longer need the police.

In the episode airing Wednesday, “the ever-more PC citizens of South Park decide that they no longer need a police force,” Comedy Central says in a release. “As the first American town to get rid of their cops, they plan to celebrate their advanced sensibilities with a PC Carnival.”

In the preview clip below, an officer is accused of “imposing [his] authority on the underprivileged.” The officer replies that “not all cops are racist, trigger-happy ********.” Then Randy Marsh marvels, “We’ve already had a Whole Foods for a month and already we don’t need cops.”

I feel like they will show both sides. I really hope officer butt baby is shown doing crazy shir but it's probably gonna be the one that likes to frame black guys for obvious reasons. (Mr jefferson)

Hope they get it right.

Have they ever let us down?

Can't wait.
I'm just thinking they've been going really hard with the PC angle and that's funny no doubt but I missed the ep where they made fun of cops for being racists murderers; barrel roll cop, cops killing black children for holding toy guns, cops choking out black guys for selling cigarettes, etc. either by parodying with another group or straight up just using that but I dunno maybe they're staying away from that altogether.

Just from reading that synopsis seems they've gone right to the town is so PC it doesn't feel it needs cops, which focuses on how ******* stupid an idea that would be in the real world (sort of like how when ppl bring up gun control laws ppl on the other side think you want the gov't to take away all their guns) and at best the whole racist cop stuff may only share some screen time.

I'm also still waiting on an ep that tackles the whole mass shootings stuff (again) since these guys have always been topical and are really on a streak with this season.

Hope they get it right.

I don't even know what this means. It's Matt and Trey. Who knows how they're going to handle it.
Right as in I hope it's really funny and they deliver a reasonable message like they've done most of the time in the past.

They haven't gone too far into the racism within the police thing that I can remember, besides the episode about framing black celebrities.

Actually I thought about it and there was also the cops trying to shoot and choke hologram Mr Jefferson and Tupac and also saying those tactics are reserved for black suspects.

I highly doubt we ever get an episode about school shootings. They did brutally murder that red head announcer kid in the episode about dancing with smurfs and honestly even that felt creepy. I just don't see it happening.

Even if the episode doesn't go too deep into police brutality, i wouldn't take that as ohhh matt and trey don't care. Whatever they do has to fit in with the context of this season.

you guys are forgetting the world war Zimmerman episode

and they have dealt with the abuse of power from police and other folk put in that position with cartman and his "respect my authority" when put in those positions of power
