Wish we had hired Steve Nash as a developmental coach. Warriors make all the good moves smh.

As far as HB goes, I'd be willing to bet the Lakers offer him a max contract.
I legit don't think he's retiring after this season
There's no way. His ego won't let him.

Y'all don't even get how frustrating this is for a Lakers fan. Y'all happy because you hate him and the Lakers. This is my team he's holding hostage, and I've been trying to warn Lakers fans for years that this is the type of person he is.

"Nah, he's a beast. Getting rid of Shaq was the right call. Kobe da beast!!"

Both times our team was Kobe and a bunch of scrubs with no good coach, we have sucked... BAD.

Sure, he's coming off of injury this time. Wasn't injured the first time.

Dude is the worst thing to ever happen to my team, because he actually has people fooled into thinking he's a franchise player and that the reason for any of our success the last 20 years is him.

Nah. I didn't fall for it then, and know better than to look back and think that now.
:nerd:

Ska is a funny guy. Not only is he inaccurate, but tries to mask it under nah just don't like his playing style.

Seen this coming a mile away, everyone taking this opportunity to get their shots in and let their true feelings out after the glory days are over. How you can sit here being a Laker fan and say basically we've been successful in spite of Kobe Bryant is one of the most asinine things I've ever heard. I'll be very interested going forward seeing who the blame shifts to once he finally does hang up the sneakers for good.

Trying to put someone on blast.

Stay classy. :smokin

CP will be unsurprised.

MoonMaster will be outraged.

L2B will act like he has no idea that he's stirring up the pot while begging for everyone to get along and be peaceful. Instigating on one hand, proclaiming "Just be positive, gaiz" on the other hand.

Ol' Smiegel self.

Dont the Sixers have the Lakers 2016 first round draft pick?
If they finish outside the top 3 yes. If not, yes.
tries to mask it under nah just don't like his playing style.
Ain't trying to mask a thing. Never have.

Just don't feel the need to discuss something that opinions aren't going to change on.

Don't fall for L2B's two-faced division attempt.

Or fall for it. Idc. Let's all pick sides. :smokin

We were all pretty much on the same page with a lot this season, but he needed division somewhere.

Fall for it. :smokin

Bruh you've said multiple times I don't hate Kobe, but...

Whatever though get them shots off at the end.

Not sure if you hate Kobe or me more.

You really that annoyed I posted it here?
If it's what you feel the stand by it.

No need to take personal shots at me.
But if you want to it's okay.

Just wanted to see what people thought of your post, I ain't proclaiming anything other than that. It's the truth. If I didn't think it was outrageous I wouldn't share it, obviously. If you think it's true, then what's wrong with discussing it here?

It ain't like I went and took something off your social media page and brought it to NT. It's just one thread away, it's Kobe related and it's Lakers related. Stirring the pot or not it's relevant to our thread and our group is it not?

I'm Smeigel tho.
Bruh you've said multiple times I don't hate Kobe, but...

Whatever though get them shots off at the end.
At the end? I've BEEN saying everything I've felt.

I spoke the same way BEFORE he was a Laker, when he announced in that gym wearing those Oakley Twentys that "I've decided to take my talent to the NBA."

Spoke the same when he was traded to the Lakers.

Spoke the same during the feud.

Spoke the same when Phil's book came out and said what HE said about Kobe. Had me like, "Told y'all."

Try to paint me like some cowardly Johnny-Come-Lately beating a man when he's down?

Nnnooope.

I was speaking the same way when he was scoring 81, getting rings.

And I don't hate him. If I hate someone, I wish them suffering and think that humanity would be better off if they died.

You weren't saying he wasn't a franchise player when he was winning MVP and going to 3 straight finals going back to back in 2009 and 2010. You weren't saying he was the worst thing to ever happen to the franchise either. You have consistently said his play style irks you, you've consistently said that in the early 2000s you could replace him with X, Y, Z guard and we'd be able to duplicate the success that he and Shaq. Anybody who's been on here for a length of time can attest to those things. You were on here celebrating with the rest of us in 2009 and 2010. This level of vitriol is something else that seems to have been bubbling and now is convenient to let off since he can't play anymore. Because if you were talking that way while dude was out here winning MVPs and chips we'd all remember because we'd still be laughing at you because how crazy you sound.

Ol' Smiegel self.
Like I said, I can't wait for you to complain again about people being negative.

"CP, plz."

"Gaiz, we get it. :rolleyes "

But then you stirring the pot, hiding behind, "Just wanted to see what people thought."

Like you have no idea what people in a Lakers thread would think. I'm stupid. I'll pretend you had no idea what people in a Lakers thread would think, and you were just curious. Sure thing.

I've read a lot of ridiculous things here. That may be the height of it.

And I've debated ninjahood before.

Ska I get so much of your frustration with Kobe. I really do.

You know your basketball.
I just don't get the statements "worst thing that's ever happened to my franchise" that are thrown into the rational dislike for him as a basketball player.

I'm keeping it real with you. Those takes, in my humble opinion, scream more than dislike on a basketball level. Because it's really asinine, in my opinion, for someone who helped bring 5 rings to us (yes I know... Shaq was the reason for the first 3, even tho most of those playoff games he was on the bench because of his FT shooting, watching Kobe close out games... But that's another story)... In the last 15 years... To be the worst thing that's ever happened to us?

Cmon man.
Smeigel or not of course I'm quoting that and of course I'm discussing it.

You can call me 2 faced but at least I'm telling you my opinion straight up, those statements make it hard to believe it's more than just dislike as a basketball player.

I absolutely was saying that then.

Me and CP got into FOR PAGES years ago because I said we won in spite of Kobe. This was when we were a championship team. That's how I worded it, that we were winning in spite of Kobe, and that's exactly what CP quoted, and we went at it. FOR PAGES.

Remember the comparison between Clarkson and Tmac happened here and was posted in the NBA thread :nerd:

Remember when someone got mad because this carried over threads :nerd:

Not trying to stir the pot, just trying to stir the pot :nerd:

And still winning in spite of Kobe is not that he's the worst thing to ever happen to my franchise nor that he's not a franchise player. The former despite being wrong is understandable given your consistent stance on his play style and how you perceive his personality to be over the years. The latter is just flat out clown activity, no other way to slice it.
