Steph going to pass him?
overall? nope. as a scorer? perhaps. I felt kobe had passed him as a scorer. mike was the apex predator on both sides, but kobe and steph became and have become masters on the offensive end respectively.

hard to see anyone really pass mike as the goat though. he was just too amazing. like..a walking highlight. expecially young 1st 3peat mike. that guy wasn't human. imagine westbrook with every offensive skill, bigger hands, more hang time, more flexible for trickier moves and doper kicks. it's amazing the incredible players that have touched the league. but so far only one has been truly Neo. Well Neo from the first movie. Kobe was Neo from Reloaded :smokin

steph is out here looking like the maze runner doh

Steph Curry can't pass Jordan as a basketball player overall, but he can have a peak that's as great / greater. His dominance potentially can be on par with 90'-93' Jordan.

Nobody will ever pass Jordan as a scorer, player, complete player, half a player, highlights, IMO.

Steph could never pass him as a better scorer,  IMO

Steph can get his 3 off anytime he wants.

MJ could get his shot off anytime he wanted.

Idk. I'm not a Lakers fan but I enjoy Clippers bashing too. Well, it's mostly Cp3 bashing but still
It's so easy to bash the Clippers  having been owned by a racist owner and decades of losing and lack of banners, and only becoming relevant since they acquired CP3 and yet they still have done epic choke jobs in the playoffs. Also that cringe worthy negotiation over the summer signing back DJ
Also the current owner be sweating like a mfer every game

Lol I think we would all take 3 points over 2 so that solves it curry will eventually be the goat

Last weekend my 8year old nephew couldn't understand how they just lost to the Lightning who lost to the Cavs twice
and my nephews team the Thunder, had beaten the Cavs twice by an average of 13.

He just couldn't understand how they lost.
Reminds me of your post friscostylez friscostylez

MJ never came close to 81

his career high was 69 and he needed OT, kobe got 62 in 3 quarters

dude scored 225 points in a span of 4 games

I have never seen anyone in the history of basketball take the level of bad shots as kobe did and he would get buckets anyways. He's the GOAT tough shot maker, no one even comes close.

I think the best scorer is someone who can score in literally any situation you can think of and no one is better than kobe at doing that. efficiency is overrated.

I don't know why Channing Frye has been such a hot commodity
Because there weren't many bigs that could actually shoot the 3.  Ryan Anderson is another guy that was subject to the trade rumors.  Jared Dudley also comes to mind, but he's been hurt.

The Cavs brought in Love for this reason.  Judging by the way they play, it was no secret that the Cavs needed an outside shooter. (think Glenn Rice, Kapono for LA.  Think Ray Allen for Boston).  It's very clear that outside shooting spreads the floor (think GSW / CURRY / KLAY).

Shooting is a lost art.

how is it a lost art when we got players who shoot better and with more range in the league now?

Big guys taking shots on the outside doesn't equate to better shooting as a whole.  Yes, Cousins or Love will take a 3, but that doesn't mean better shooting.  The pool of bigs who can actually stretch the floor are rather small.  The, 'stretch 4' terminology is overly used.  They are basically Ryan Kelly / Kelly Singler types who are stuck in purgatory.  They can't bang on the inside, so their only weapon of choice is from the outside.

Tomorrow, OKC starts a 14 game stretch that's brutal. Maybe 2 gimmes in there.
Time for everyone to see who they are.
