I thought the EDTA in the blood stain was going to solve the case and we would have a happy ending (I didn't read up the results before I watched the doc). However, when they didn't find it in the sample it made me think of something that I only know because of my career:

EDTA is a "chelate" that is also used in iron fertilizers for hydroponics or soil. The purpose of the chelate is to kind of surround and protect the iron molecule and keep it in a state that makes it available to the plants. If that chelate is destroyed then the iron is no longer available to the plants. One of the main ways that a chelate can be destroyed is by UV radiation (aka sun light). I wonder if that applies here and if it had an effect on the sample. I mean the car must of been left outside at some point and gotten some direct sunlight? Either way it doesn't help the case of Steven Avery
Haven't read through the entire thread yet but this is what bothered me the most about this case.

Just because the EDTA wasn't present in the sample, doesn't rule out that the blood wasn't taken from the vial. I feel like this was not stressed enough. Just because you receive a negative pregnancy test, does not mean you're not pregnant.

And the prosecution said in his closing statements that because EDTA was not present in the sample, there was no way this was taken from the vial. This is FALSE. He knew it and he said it anyone. Because once the idea is planted, whether true or not, it's extremely hard to shake. Especially since this concept may be hard for people with no background in science or engineering.

This really made my blood boil. Kratz was lying through his teeth

Just finished the 10 episode series. I immediately jumped on here and started researching what people were doing after seeing this on Netflix. It's wild to see both convicted, and Brendan has gained at least 50 pounds since his initial trial. I'm interested to see how far this is going to go after the publicity and buzz it's getting.
All seriousness aside, I was wondering how ol boy GAINED weight in prison.

Also, I was a fan of that cute reporter. I know ya'll know who I'm talking about.

You'd have to be a blind fool to think these
men aren't innocent. These dudes are blatantly
using their power to ruin this mans life...
There's just too many
questionable moves made on the laws
part alone.

1.  No blood
2.  How is it that her DNA wasn't on a key she regularly operated????
Only his DNA comes up on a key he never used.
3.  They don't allow the Avery's on their property for 8 days while
     they perform a search.
4.  Multiple searches done to the property and find nothing....
     Months later find evidence....

You mean to tell me you gonna
commit a murder, move the body
around multiple times and burn
the body, but not burn the vehicle
you used to transport the body?
Why would her blood even be
in the SUV to begin with if all
this took place in the home and
they supposedly burned the victim
right next to the house?
NONE OF THIS MAKES ANY SENSE!

Swear some of ya'll have that annoying
little brother complex where the lil bro
always say the opposite just to annoy you.

How can you say the documentary was made
to make Avery look innocent?????
Man these ain't reenactments of what we think
happened, these are actual visuals! We getting
the real thing,  Quit overthinking it and use
common sense.
I skipped over every single one of your posts because of the center alignment.

Prison food is full of calories.  Everything is mass-produced, preservative-filled junk besides fruit/veggies.

Lazy or depressed + eating that crap 3 times a day = weight gain.
