2016 "52 week money challenge"

18?

still throwing 100-200$ every 2 weeks in the savings.

Let's hope i can maintain with the upcoming travel expenses :nerd:

Still going strong, passed the $300 mark two weeks ago. :smokin Been nice seeing my savings account slowly building. I've been tempted to spend it on a variety of things, but have managed to resist.

still in
Was doing $250 a week until april

....got a little over 3k in my savings as of now

need to get back to it

Download the app Qapital. It lets you link up your bank account and set rules to save. The money challenge is one of them. You can even start it at a certain week.

Pretty cool to set and forget.

First time checking in here. I been saving for a over a year now and it definitely feels good! Great to see others here trying to do the same.

Im not sure if this is helpful or not, but my friend who got me motivated in saving always told me to " stay broke". He'll transfer/deposit into his savings and then never touch it as if he doesn't have that money anymore and lives like he's broke, then repeats the cycle lol.

Once I transfer $$$ to my savings account, I never withdraw from it.

A nice amount is just sitting there now though, not making any $$$ for me there.

I had to cut the box open early but I'm happy with what I saved. From Feb to may, between change and the cash I was putting in a box I had 600+. I'm going on vacation so I had to pay the remaining 300 I owed on the trip and cop these flights so I cracked the box open. Only ended up spending like 50 bucks outta pocket. Starting over tomorrow tho, a full year I would've been super straightttt. Keep it up, try to put extra if y'all can.

im still going strong. gonna be in vegas in September, so the temptations will be there to use up that cash...

Just opened up my first savings account. I'm in on this. I will try to go over every time though. Gonna do 10% of my paycheck into the savings and the required $25 dollars a month for the savings. Feels good. :smokin

I was out for a week, because I had to use all the money i'd saved to pay some extra bills I wasn't expecting. But, my tax refund came in this morning (Never file any of that **** wrong people, it'll cause no end of grief) and I just transferred part of it to my savings to account for the money I had previously, and to cover the $22 I would have deposited into it this past Sunday. Near the $400 mark!

On track to hit 87% of my savings goal (30% of gross). i got to step it up but my goal was a bit too ambitious giving my recurring expenses. this is my 2nd year doing the challenge and it has helped tremendously.

98% of the people in here dont even know what week its on [emoji]128514[/emoji]

This

I just put 100$+ into savings each paycheck.

Thought i was going to need to withdraw from my savings for my vacation, but i just realized i have my tax refund sitting in at another bank. Will just used that. Feels good man :pimp:
