Do you ever notice when you try to search for a song to listen to, 80% of the time they have the remix of that version and not the original? :smh: Grinds my gears man. I know youtube for sure will have it but I want an app to stream music while i'm on the road any tips for other apps fellas?

It's because soundcloud is usually for indie/newer artists (especially EDM musicians cause they're always on the remix tip). I'm not even sure if musicians get paid either for plays.

Ever since Universal got involved with Soundcloud they fell off with the copyright take downs and ads.

I use Spinrilla but it pretty much only has mixtapes. It has "album" songs with DJ tags all over them tho.

You might as well cop a Spotify/Apple Music membership like bruh said.

Pay the $10/month for Apple Music.

Well worth it IMO.

Soundcloud is partnering up with the 3 big music companies that control basically the whole music market. More ADs, even though I have personally never heard an ad thx to AdBlock, and maybe a paid service in the future. The part about more ads and a paid service is all talk though for the moment but the partnerships are real.

Honestly, Apple Music and any one of the mixtape apps (i.e. Datpiff, livemixtapes, spinrilla) are all you really need.

Man I'm really cheap though, I'm already paying for Comcast internet and my data plan for At&t. I don't wanna give any more of my money. If there's a way I can get it for free I always try to find a way. :smokin

You get what you pay for. I was stingy about Spotify for the longest but I ride the trains everyday for a decently long commute so having some decent music to listen to helps the daily grind move along.

Spotify usually lets you do $0.99 a month for the first 3 months or something to get you hooked so you can try it out. I don't know if Apple Music or any others do a similar offer but it's worth checking out. I still check soundcloud here and there but not much.

Apple music offered a 3 month trial when I signed up.

I have both Apple Music and Spotify because I'm too lazy to build my offline library in Apple Music.

Soundcloud is a NEED for me, a lot of the "underground" artists I listen to only put their **** on there

I know it's inevitable but I ain't looking forward to that paid subscription **** at all

this. i love soundcloud, but I ain't paying the 5

Soundcloud fell off when they started sending me copyright notices for official remixes that I did

Funny this post came up. I was just thinking bout this. They never have the original song do they? I figured its moreso a platform for peoples mixes and sets.

Not sure what y'all thought it was but SC is not even a comparison to Spotify or Apple Music, not currently at least. It's more for independent, "underground" artists, DJ's, producers etc to throw their music up and get a buzz

If the artist you're looking for is signed to a label and doesn't have an official soundcloud it's prolly gonna be kinda hard to find the songs on there because of all the copyright ****. The fans can upload it all they want but once the labels hit SC with the copyright removal notices it's over with

In this new landscape with diminished sales these labels are pressing everybody about unlicensed music streaming, etc. No way around it really, same thing with YouTube.

Now this is ******** and annoying, my homies deal with the same **** bro. I can kinda understand why do this because I've had fam on the other side and these labels are crazy man but still it's annoying as hell nonetheless :smh:

I use SoundCloud look up the artist oshi

Plus Spotify is so worth it I use it everyday at work and it's easy to discover new music and playlist

Anyone here use soundcloud go? I listen to a lot of instrumentals and now I listen to soundcloud more than I do the stuff in my itunes library. Wondering if there's slick deal out there that I'm missing out on vs paying $10 a month

You think artists will migrate once that happens?
