Adidas NMD thread

End Chukkas probably catching flak because its chukka. I think if you slapped the olive PK colorway onto R1, with gum soles like the End Chukkas, they'd be a lot better. But Packers R1 outright came out disrespectful of the NMD line

They look like those Villa exclusives or something lol. I seriously hoped this was one of those teaser/tester material pics like they did with the SNS UB

These last nmd store collabs are just hideous, patchwork frankensteins. The ub collabs on the other hand are at least clean well put together. As we get to the Dec og release to bookend Phase 1, have serious questions on upcoming brillant designs.

i just got the WM nmd in. i was going to write them off as more expensive wools but the lining is a very nice tough. very comfortable. quality seems really good too. might be keepers.

Hey guys. So I picked up my first pair of NMD this past weekend and they're pretty comfy. It's a different kind of fit than I'm used to (little more snug than traditional sneakers) but breaks in nicely. I went TTS (Men's 12US). 13 was definitely to big and they don't seem to come in a 12.5.

Question is how do the different materials affect comfort, sizing, and durability? I see there are quite a few different styles and materials and just want to know what I'm getting myself into when picking up shoes

PK runs big and mesh runs TTS.

Other than that, NMD's flat as hell so if you workout say hello to your new squat shoes.

lol I'm not on my feet to often so it's cool. Just a good break from J's and such. The shoes I got are the rainbow European release. Those are PK correct? I'm assuming a mesh shoe I would probably be perfect at a 12 since the PK fits a tad snug ?

First time I'm ever seeing them. WTF is that fam?

First time I've ever seen universal dislike of any NMD, and that includes the Villas, Rainbows and others. Twitter and Instagram alike nothing but a string of references to trash, poo, and sick emojis.

Nice Kicks NMD yet again showing how good their shoe collab was. Sheesh at this point just let them design another shoe.

Rainbow had hate? Saw em and grabbed with a quickness. Funny how different everyone's tastes can be

Rainbows definitely had some, but my point was that those still had plenty of people who really liked them. Not the case with these packers (at least so far). The comments are pretty hilarious actually.

I mean...you have solar red, navy blue, a true blue, a light blue, a super light Aqua, a white, and What may be a black tossed on the bottom? Can't even figure out what happened here.

Honestly, it's a mixed bag. I find my OG black mesh R1 pair fits differently from my mesh Bred R1 and my JD Sports mesh R1s. My mesh Champs exclusive R1s also fit differently so it's really a mixed bag as far as sizing because of all the different materials used on the upper (due to the different kinds of mesh). I feel like you might have more consistentcy with the PK NMDs but I can't speak on that as I don't own multiple pairs of those to compare. I should note I'm a TTS 11 US in Nike/Jordans and all my NMDs are a US 10.5-11.5.

Thanks for your help and sorry for all the questions. Speaking of the bred I have a pair City gear found for me at one of their locations coming in. How do you like yours?

Found some online for anyone else looking

LOVE my Bred mesh pair. Initially I wanted the grey wool/infrared pair but I went with the breds instead-looking back that was a great decision as the breds are definitely more wearable.

Appreciate your input on this, especially the bit on the wide forefoot. Can't wait for it to arrive.
Yeah, when I read it was reinforced with neoprene/mesh on the uppers, made my decision between winter wools CS and WM CS easy. Kinda gimme some Y-3 vibes. ;-)

What the heck? The Hi-Chew shop didn't include some in this WM CS order. But these shoes are really nice. If you like a more finished product, structured rigid form and tts, these are the way to go. Can see these as above wools, then og black or greys for those reasons.
Great collab design.

Do you have a pair of UB's yet?

No. I like the shillouette of the NMD more in the same colors as the UB. Why do you ask?
Because you were talking about comfort. I have both the NMD's and the UB's and the UB's are WAY more comfortable (IMO of course.) As far as looks go I love them both though. Night and day difference in terms of comfort though.

Gotcha. Are the Mesh NMD more in line comfort wise with the UB? I'm assuming the other difference is the arch support in the UB?

nah - mesh aren't as comfy - the way that the UB's grab your foot is unbelievable - i was skeptical at first now I own like 4 pairs of UBs

The difference is in the PK as well as the Ultra boost has more boost material than any other adidas shoe (hence the name

)

The PK NMD's are more comfortable than the mesh NMD's though. However (IMO) it goes Ultra Boost > Yeezy 350 > PK NMD > Mesh NMD (these aren't counting pure boosts and other boost models though)
