Clorox wipes are essentially scented wipes with a bit of detergent in them, nothing more, nothing less. Paper towels with colors in them will transfer the dye of the paper towel into the boost incredibly easily and stain it. It's not that complicated.

Who would be dumb enough to clean boost using paper towels with dye in them? I'm talking about plain white paper towels. And really what I recommended was a white cloth, with paper towel as a second option.

As I said, exposure to chemicals speeds the yellowing process of boost, that's a well known fact. There's a transparent, extremely thin layer of protective material on boost, it wears away as you wear the shoes, but also is worn away faster if you use chemicals to clean, and yes I'm counting soap as a chemical here.

Got through on the phone with Extra Butter right when I was about to leave work. Sold out about 20-25 minutes ago lol. Saves me $2.75 I guess.

I don't think my initial reply was even that harsh, sorry I offended your guys' delicate sensibilities. 

Go ahead and clean your boost w/ clorox all you want. I'm just offering my advice from extensive personal experience with many pairs of boost.

And the protective layer is not some new thing I'm making up, it's existence is fairly well known. Look at any DS pair of boost shoes you own and compare to a more beat pair. The boost on the DS pair will have a slight sheen to it while the boost on the beat pair will be much more matte.

I mean, I've only used clorox wipes on my beater pair of boost a handful of times and that's it and that was specifically after paper towels with just a bit of room temperature water stained them. As for the protective layer, I don't doubt it's there, I'd just like actual proof since I've only ever heard talk of it and my worn in boosts look just as shiny as my non worn in. Again, not trying to argue, just saying that clorox wipes have worked in the past for myself and many others I know and haven't caused any yellowing as a result of use.

At the end of the day all that really matters is that excessive cleaning of boost, no matter what the method, will cause it to yellow more quickly.

It's all good. I mean, I agree with you on being gentile with cleaning boost as it can cause yellowing, just saying that from experience clorox wipes have been gentile enough provided you don't scrub and only wipe. You do you though, not trying to convert you or anything.
