Why is Cam Newton hated so much?

Yep. You can go into any "Comments" section of any Cam Newton article and read the most disrespectful, asinine statements about him lol.

You can read that about any pro athlete

this. you can go to any comment section or twitter search and find ignorant comments on any topic.
most of the ppl hating is because their team lost to the panthers or some bama fans
ya acting like dudes are plotting to get this man fired or killed. aint no sane person thinking twice about an athlete whether it be cam or tom brady. there's way more other issues in this world

does cam even have a NT haters thread?

dont see what the difference is between him and any other high profile athlete though

people throw parties every year when brady is eliminated

[emoji]128514[/emoji] the difference with people wishing Brady out of playoffs, is they at least give him his due credit.

Folks go out of their way to discredit Cam. It's comedy

And cam has won at EVERY level. He is in his 5th season , led his team to 15-1 and in the super bowl.

so are you capable of crediting Brady but not Cam?

The type of hate that Cam gets is different. A lot of thinly veiled racist ****.

Anyone who is questioning whether or not people dislike him is just caught in the hype of him having to get credit for this ridiculous year. He's had his intelligence, ability to play the QB position, and character questioned for year.

Some non black people will never understand the points you're trying to make, plain and simple.

I don't know about "hated", but "hated on" would probably suit him more. He's winning, assertive, smiles a lot, confident, smart, intimidating...and oh yeah, he's black.

this
does the same things as steph, just having fun.
after watching gms, i dont pay attention to the talk shows/espn breakdowns, etc. unless its on the local news or something like that.

if i had to answer why...then it's cause he's black. dont think he ever been in the news for nonsense like maziel or anything controversial aside from college stuff

Celebrating after every 1st is a little too much but I don't hate him.

This

As for the people mentioning Aaron Rodger - He doesn't celebrate nearly as much as Cam does. At least not from what I've seen. Honestly, the only time I see Rodgers celebrating is when he scores a TD.

What about Tom Brady? Gronkowski? Those guys demonstratively celebrate all of the time and are labeled as 'fiery'.

What Brian said is a round example of somebody being prejudice man. Deadass **** that dude

Because he's the antithesis of Peyton Manning.

He's like a modern-day Ali, but just not on a social scale.

I need this dude to destroy the Broncos and continue to piss off people for being himself.

Gronk and Brady hardly ever celebrate first downs. Cam Newton on the other hand, does it after EVERY first down.

The kid is a stud, no doubt about it. But he needs to chill with that ish. It just gives people a reason to yap.

You guys are unbelievable man. Just say you're sticking up for him because of his culture and skin color.

"He celebrates too much"

Never heard anyone complain about Edelman (especially him) staring down opposing corners and safeties and getting in their faces after every damn catch

That's because he's "fired up". We already know.
