DMX almost dies vol. More than music

Shout out to all of us that remember when X was THEE man in hip hop. I was very young but still remember how impactful he was.
 
Damn I was just listening to "Back in One Piece". Hopefully he can get his **** together, he is a legend. Great Depression Album is underrated BTW.
 
Wen i saw that survival of the illest performance i knew son was gonna be my favorite rapper ever.

No other rapper got that raw passion like X.

I remember dudes was rockin wife beaters under unbuttoned ss shirts bandannas and timbs hard.

He's been battling drugs for many years. I think it was vh1 behind the music where his ex said he started smoking crack at like 14.

So for those who are old enough to have copped the "its dark and hell is hot" CD, for a limited time the album came with another cd which was the "survival of the illest vol. 1" CD. Both were straight fire. In terms of a 2 CD set....I ranked it top 3 along with Life after death and 2pacs all eyez on me album.

I miss those days.

Damn man that track 17 "it's Dark & Hell is hot " , that prayer Skit always make a **** wanna cry man .. X really help me get through a lot of things , dude will always be top 5 for me dead or alive he was that much of an influential dude , just wish he would give up the drugs .
 
For me....its dark and hell is hot is better than reasonable doubt or illmatic.

I know its not the critics consensus but for me personally i feel that way

I can easily relate to its dark & hell is hot a lot more then reasonable doubt .
