Eminem best rapper ever

Im glad not all of y'all are blinded by the Interscope hype machine...son is undoubtedly talented but his body of work pales in comparison too dozens ofother MCs.

He got the talent but he don't put it to proper use.

If he got on his "Lose yourself", "The Way I am", "Stan" tip on a consistent basis...he should jump to the top of everyoneslist...no questins asked...but when you making up nonsensical lines about rapin ya moms, putting your bum on peoples lips and how wack Britney Spears andN'Sync is...you ain't getting no top recognition in my book....You're just an overhyped white Canibus until you show and prove.

To me saying he is #1 all time is just as crazy as the people saying he ain't even in their top 20. You guys kidding or just hating on Marshall? Withoutmaking a list of who is #1, I would throw a "top" group as Big, 2pac, Jay-Z, Nas, Rakim, KRS One, LL and so on but if Em isn't somewhere in yourtop 20 then I don't know what you guys been listening to over the years. I put him in my top 10, could be top 5 before he is done depending on his nextalbum, if he goes in hard with Dre he will remind us that he has some serious lyrical skills.

You forgot about Pac. You're not New York biased, are you?

You see this is what I don't understand. Everyone says he got worse with every album. It's actually the other way around... Just look man...

Slim Shady LP - It was a GOOD DEBUT ALBUM. It's not my favorite but Em was hungry on this. I would rate this a 8/10.

Marshall Mathers LP - I'm sorry but critically and commercially this album was HUGE. This is a CLASSIC.

Eminem Show - This is his Magnum Opus IMO. He cut the crap and took you inside his life. The jokes are kept to a minimum, this album was straight lyricalslaughter. From the Opening track you can tell this is a serious album. But what did you guys do when he finally gave you a thought-provoking album? Youoverlooked it. No questions asked this again is a CLASSIC.

Encore - No comment.

King Mathers - I'm going out on a limb here but I believe this is going to be Eminem's Stillmatic and The Blueprint. You could either believe me NOWor read about it LATER.

People are talkin like he hasn't put out great albums..

The 'Slim Shady' and 'Marshall Mathers' LPs plus 'The Eminem Show' are all VERY solid albums. Some consider them classics. (i feel thefirst 2 are)

These albums are very entertaining, with unbelievably creative and brilliant lyrics. There is really no song that he doesn't rip lyrically.

1 im black so throw your racist arguments elsewhere.
yeah cause only white people listen to eminem

idiots i swear.

to call slim shady lp as well as mmlp not a classic is blasphemy. i could listen to sslp on repeat for days straight.
infinite is extremely under-rated and just as amazing. i admitted in my first post he been inconsistent he slacked off but so what.... biggie died. there'sno telling someone cant fall off. 2pac is not in my top 10 thats another story. he's got tons of freestyles, as well as tricks he's featured on thatare just disgusting. till i collapse? dead wrong verse? d12 hell bound? renegade?

his flow is ever changing. he can be hilarious then flip it and write a dead serious song. i mean im a stan but I honestly dont see how you can even dare sayhe's not in your 20. same dudes putting weezy in their top 5.

play a verse from anyone better than eminem, I gurantee I could 1 up you many times over.

as has been said he is top 10 i just cant look past encore....not that its terrible but its not what i expect from him

No way is he the best rapper ever. Though I do feel like he had the skills to be considered the greatest. I'm really hoping he comes back though. He'sthe one that got me into Hip Hop back in 6th grade. And I still consider him one of the most consistent MC's ever except for that ATROCIOUS attempt that hecalls 'Encore'.

People that say he's not top 20 have to be kidding. There is No way in hell you can name 20 rappers better than eminem. Only reason Eminem doesn't havea classic is because he was making like 17 track albums. If he makes a album with like 12-13 tracks It would easily be a classic. He's top 5

bypassing reading posts in here cause this subject is VERY sensitive. But IMO type 5 dead or alive.

I'mInAndI'm...OUT

ok so I randomly read one reply

agree 100 percent. Except Slim Shady LP =/= MMLP

also Encore was considered bad, because it came from Em. If it was any other newer artist it would be considered a "good" attempt. More than half thesongs were solid on Encore, which is more than I can say for alot of artist's albums.

I concur.

I don't think son is top 20...

Hes one of my favorites because I can relate to his music, and I dont understand why whenever someone brings up Eminem the first thing they say is"Encore". Yes as an album it was trash but it had 6-7 great songs on it, but last I checked, NaS dropped Nastradamus and he didnt move down in yourlist, Jay dropped Kingdom Come and he didnt move down on your list, you get my point. I only used those 2 because they seem to be the most popular on NT, butALOT of your favorite MC's have dropped a weed plate as well. As far as the fact that he doesnt have a classic album, I consider The Eminem Show a classicand MMLP and SSLP both solid albums, but then again this is NT and like others have stated, Wayne is considered top 5 by some people on this board. Top 5 DOA,Im done ranting.

i don't believe that he really thinks my dude reg is on top though...
He says it over and over again so I'm pretty sure he's set in his top artists.

You forgot Infinite which is technically his debut album which is one of the best strictly lyrical albums I've heard.

He has no classic albums
I think his 3 middle albums are most definitely classic albums I can't skip a track, but that's my opinion.

Agree w/ the last couple comments. If you want to judge Em as an artist, Eminem Show is the album to look at. To me, SSLP and MMLP were too gimmicky, and Ireally don't understand how an album bad as Encore got released, like Dre or 50 or Obie or someone had to hear it and shouldve said something, especiallyafter he released the Straight Outta the Lab EP with nothing but heat. But yea, Eminem Show is the best representation of Eminem as an artist. With that said, dude is a great talent, but not in my top 10.

And before you ask...

1. BIG
2. Pac
3. Hov
4. Nas
5. Common
6. Andre
7. Method Man
8. Ghostface
9. Redman
10. Az

But to those saying he's not top 20, I can't see myself listing 10 more rappers w/o including Em...
