Try working on your basic reading comprehension. When did I say all Afro-Dominicans are from Haiti? Is English your first language? It's very clear from my post that I was specifically talking about the picture posted by @KingFoamNYC. When you search on Google most of those black people with the miserable look on their faces are Haitian migrants who are facing deportation. Google images algorithm places a high value on trending news stories, and right now the whole Haitian migration issue is still hot, so the search results are going to be littered with a bunch of sad looking black people from Haiti.

I mean we get it now by now. NH is a "growing-up" or an "emerging adult". This is not a real adult. He lives in a fantasy.
No woman will ever take him seriously except for his mother. This is because he's a single child to a single mother. I don't blame either of them for holding onto that. I've seen this dynamic at work when my sister dumped her ex-bf when he refused to move out of his mom's house (mom was a widow; strong bond between them because of this). She told him you pick your mom or you pick me.
Clearly NH is a momma's boy afraid to take on the world. Well, I wouldn't say he's afraid but he's just more comfortable living in squalor instead of trying to improve his position. How you talking about caking so much why can't you just buy a bigger spot in the heights where you can bring women back? Maybe get at least a full size bed? How tf you sleep on a twin? I know you haven't had a girl sleep over in that room before. Well maybe a girl but not a real woman.
You say his mother is kind I say she is incredibly selfish for allowing him to be a parasite. But like mother like son I guess.
At the end of the day who cares? Dude think he's doing it and has a rebuttle for everything so why go back and forth?

With all the slander he's taken it's amazing he does really seem content. Why would you ever want to be content like that though? I dunno. This child learned this behavior at some point in his life, and accepted it as an option. His mother is also allowing this to take place. There are always so many inside factors to consider within the family dynamic that never gets released to the outside world, including traditions, belief systems, and social standards. We do not know if there is a larger battle this child is fighting, such as mental illness, addiction, medical, social, or grievance. Living with his parents may be a "safe place" for him while he gets things sorted out. If not, if he is just moving through live at a glacial speed and not excelling, it will ultimately be up to him to choose to make a change before it is effective. Hopefully he will have a good support system when the time comes.
If you've always been healthy but you're still living with your folks in your late-20s, never mind mid-30s, something has gone wrong. And no amount of defensive yammering about high rents is going to change that. I've always believed that people should have one of those things that start with a birth, end with a death and have lots of stuff going on in the middle. You know, a life.
