Ralph Lauren struggling?

cool, I'm not bashing Polo at all an i think you know me from the other section i don't own any FOG.......i have alternatives

guess that is called "fast fashion"

i care about quality and style.............and the major key is saving money, last i check i don't think anyone on NT gets a check or free stuff shipped to them unless they are on the A list.....if so I'm not talking to you guys

conclusion, i dont owe POLO a damn thing

Yeah def you already know I know you from the high end thread my dude. Thing is you saying saving money and etc but if we gonna keep it g a lot of that high end / mid tier stuff is the complete opposite to saving money or quality or whatever . I cop that stuff too and know

Nobody owes Ralph anything and we not cappin but nobody can really ever hate on Ralph. Ask those fav OG designers or those new dudes coming up with the "fast fashion". Even 'fashion forward' Ye's notorius Sway quote includes Ralph ...its GOAT :pimp:

Polo runs big in general no?

Ppl who go with Polo hard aren't the same ppl in local H&M/Zara cuts

Why do you think OGs like Jeezy, Jadakiss..........I can name more all day, lost weight in recent years???

Ill tell you why........

THEY WANNA CHANGE, THEY WANNA CHANGE STYLES AND LOOOK..............POLO HAS HISTORY YES INDEED

BUT

THINGS CHANGE FOLKS

How many more times are you going to post the same thing over and over?

Jeezy and Jadakiss lost weight to change styles and look

Did you prop yourself?

@Supermanblue79

Great post. Nailed it right on the head.

In terms of the D&S line, I do not see the younger crowd latching on as they once did with the Rugby line. The materials feel cheap to the touch and the aesthetic is not appealing.

Two things moving forward that bother me as a customer are the Black Label line being discontinued, although some remnants of the look are being packaged as Blue Label. And the news that the wildlife rugged aesthetic will be phased out soon.

Are you serious? So no more rugged and wildlife themes? I hate the Internet all these elongated tees, dad hats, and boost technology sneakers messin up good things

They are messing up those "good things" because they buy/like other things other than Polo?

Those polo white tees suck. Wide fitting unless they've gotten better recently.
thats why you get the "slim fit" instead of "classic fit". Literally just bought a pack of grey t's on sunday. perfect fit if you're on the slimmer side. also bought a classic fit pack for my grandpa who doesnt need the slim.
18-24 year olds care about this guy

they give no damns about Polo on sale at local Macys

fashion of youth spend money these days but its not on RL
who the **** is this?

Haha that's cool, I ain't saying polo is everything, it just sucks when they have to phase out their best looking gear IMO when they have to adapt to these lame trends. Oh well

prolly 25-30 year olds in that wave care about that guy.

but in general most 18 to 24 year olds don't give a **** about that dude.

theres different waves.

that look has gotten to the point where when i see it it isn't something new. its like "oh he's doing that"

when it hits h & m you know the deal.

I'm just wondering what people are gonna do with the OD long tees and distressed garments when this fad goes out of style.

Seems like the time is quickly approaching.

Just move on to the next trend but it really isn't even the only factor.

H&M and Zara and Old Navy/GAP and JCrew and Uniqlo all offers a cheaper alternative to RL (that fits slimmer).

With fast fashion brands like H&M and Zara, there is an entry way for the younger generations to come in the store and to at least check out their other offerings. And when they get old, they might stick to H&M/Zara if they want to go for the more mature look.

While RL is stuck with the older buyers and not many new customers are coming in to check out the brand because nothing interest them there now and even if it happens to be the younger buyers style, the price might not be for them so they go for the alternatives.

Nothing, they'll rot in closets with RL rugby's and other trends that fell off. And that's why h&m and zara are booming right now, you can get the look for the low, and when it does fall off you won't feel like a idiot for spending hundreds of dollars for it.
