My wife and I were together for 8 years before i proposed.

Mind you she's 3-4 years younger than me but we knew each other was the one so there was no rush.

we waited until we were both ready, for her to finish school and for me to get my sh*t together.

been together for 14 years now, 8 dating and 6 married (with a 3 year old).

best decision i ever made was asking her out.....
