Cop Shoots Unarmed Man Looking After Autistic Patient

what more can you do man.. this **** is ******* ridiculous.

unarmed, complied with the orders, hands up, but STILL pumped with hot lead. Read the officer fired 3 shots as well.

Wonder how the fox news pundits will twist this to somehow still blame the victim.

This stuff just makes me :smh:

Curious, has an off duty black cop ever been shot by an on duty cop?

I'm sitting here thinking about just how strong that police union is. It's scary and apparently since we pay these cops wages, it has been approved by the American people. But something has to give.

Think of all those cases where a executive or doctor or some mid level employee makes a fool of themselves/ and or the company they work for. Those people are fired instantly. I think there was a BOA employee involved with that pool fight, or that Miami doctor who messed up a uber car. Or that Taco Bell executive who went on a crazy rant. I just don't get why there isn't more accountability on the cops part. Stop defending your dirtbag co worker. They are putting your life in danger. Those companies fire you for less (they care about their image ultimately). The cops and FOP just laugh. There is no image to uphold. They are the ultimate gang of America. Untouchable it would seem.

Administraive leave? Really. His boss should be like " You messed up buddy. You're too trigger happy and couldve killed someone. Let me have your badge. Your pension is GONE". And he can laugh in the ex cops face. But then I guess you would have way less cops than there already is. I know my local PD is short handed. But if you shame your department, you get the boot. Let the cops have some real fears (loss of pension) and they may actually smarten up

I really don't get it..

I'm an attorney and in law school we learned about negligence, burden of proof and standards for certain things (granted I did this in England, but most principals overlap in all jurisdictions.. And American laws are initially based off old English ones)

Well obviously it's pretty obvious that you hold a trained professional to a higher standard than the regular joe.. And you also have consequences if you hold yourself out to be an expert at something

But I have no clue how these dudes continue to just skate given that they hold themselves out to be a certain thing and are supposedly trained to do that thing

Like I remember the story of a cop whose "consequences" were essentially better than what the victim was awarded.. The state paid them substantially more to the c to leave and he wasn't allowed to be a cop in that state again (which means he could move anywhere else in the states and go right on).. While the victim got substantially less money wise

After seing the vid, its not the cops fault. Dudes black arms look just like two rifles.

I feel like this story hasn't got a lot of attention? Has this been on national news or anything?

I'm in cleveland so the only thing local news reports on is the RNC 24/7

you can only be victimized for so long

sadly only like HLN is covering it as far as national news. It's being drowned out by RNC

My man Tariq went in.

Man I had to stop the video quick once the retired officer opened his mouth
Made me annoyed as hell
I'm sure Tariq made some great points after that officer's ignorance, but when there is ignorance I can't listen to it
