Simple as that. What's the point? I was in the grocery store yesterday and there was this very sloppy lady shopping who had some sort of gun on her (wasn't a 9mm or anything along those lines.) I told my wife, if something was to pop off in the store, I wouldn't feel any safer knowing she had a strap on her... Honestly, I have ZERO issue with people who legally carry, but keep their weapons concealed. However, what's the point of keeping it out in the open if you're not some part of law enforcement? I just don't get it

Some people feel the need to flex with their weapons. So dumb. I forgot what state it was but it was in the south and people were going to restaurants with assault rifles hanging from their backs. If I'm eating there with my family, i'm asking the restaurant to tell them to leave or i'll leave.

open carry assault rifles in public is so unnecessary to me

how do i know person isn't just gonna unload a string of bullets at any moment

i feel safer with guns concealed than out in the open tbh

I live in an open carry state and agree, theres really no reason to be flashin your banger out in public places. I myself have a ccw permit, I would feel more in danger if i had my **** out in the open.

I hear u...

I get that it's 2016 and people can do this, but I'm happy that my daughter didn't see it and I didn't have to explain.

Detterance b. Living in Vegas I see it all the time, even though I wouldn't ever do it I can see why. Most people who own guns suck at deploying or aiming their weapon, regardless of open carry or concealed. As a bad guy you still need to have the extra thought process of getting lit the **** up or making your target easy food without taking a bullet.

I live in an open carry state and will be applying for my ccw permit soon. To be honest I don't think I would bring it everywhere I go, would likely just leave it in the car most of the time

Atleast in my state there's no permit needed to open carry but there is to conceal. It's pretty stupid because some criminal with a gun will take the open carrier out first if he sees him.

Conceal carry or nothing

"Is rather have it and not need it , than need it and not have it" you can get a smal conceal carry weapon. Like the sig bodyguard .380 . **** fits in my pocket

Live in Vegas too... there are reasons ofcourse, psychologically if a person that's about to rob a store sees people with guns, it'll alter their mindset.

It's all about awareness. The same reason you noticed a person open carrying, will be the same reason a person with bad intentions will notice.

Dudes are insecure and weak.... plain and simple.

EDIT:
To elaborate, the instances I've seen some open carry to faunt and tout their power of having a lethal weapon.

I understand having a conceal weapon, open carry is unnecessary imo.

People like that don't carry guns to Protect other ppl but to protect themselves.

They do it so ppl don't try to rob, kidnap or rape them I guess.

I don't like guns, and I support gun control. However open carry doesn't bother me that much

But!

Someone of these people look absolutely ridiculous "exercising their rights".

Like b, you overweight, riding around in a rascal scooter, at the farmers market, but you got a AR-15 on your back. Why?

Never open carried... **** draws attn.
MF will blast you out here so it's better to stay ready. Also matters where u live.

I carry every day but I have a CPL so I never open carry. Like others said its more than likely to stunt. I've also know people that open carry while waiting on the CPL approval just to get use to it. But I don't know why you would
