Do we appreciate Master P enough??

Nope and it's sad. One of my favorites of all time. Also people like to praise Shawn, puff and baby about their business moves and being stupid rich when P was really the only dude getting real money in the 90s. Dude was very smart.

P definitely deserves more appreciation for building that empire.

All those other guys are still going though.

Outside Ghetto D, I never really liked his solo albums, but the stuff he did with TRU was cool.

Beats by the Pound produced a lot of nice stuff back then. C-Murder's Life or Death and Bossalinie and the two or so Fiend albums were my favorite from No Limit. Those cheap plastic  cases take me back.

Yep.  P was clocking 100Ms before all those dudes.  And he put so many cats on/gave them second starts in the game.  And to do it all independent it was crazy.  No Limit Sold like 70-80 Million records and they was keeping most of that money.  Those other labels were getting their pockets ran by Universal, Def Jam, Interscope, etc.

P had multiple clothing lines, Shoes, Master P toys, gas stations, etc.  So many businesses and hustles it was ridiculous.  P paved the way for rap cats to come moguls.

Snoop was giving him props on nore podcast last week. He told him P taught him how to make money in the game. Let him build his brand and didn't charge him a penny either. It's crazy how dudes just getting hip to the independent blueprint he been preaching for years.

I loved my 92 Saturn w/reverse 13x7 McLeans w/ the Fat Whitewall tires but.....I loved it more with 7 steering wheel covers to give me the fat grip wheel to turn while 2 Fosgate amps powered my 2 15' Cerwin Vegas as they pumped out Bourbons and Lacs controlled by my Pioneer detach face cassette deck w/ the full color lit face.

Couldn't even see out the rear view mirror because that joint stayed on vibrate!

All the way up :pimp:

I swear every artist was going gold and platinum on No Limit in their heyday. I was such a fan that even bought Skull Duggery and Full Blooded's albums, and was waiting on Short Circuit and D.I.G's

West coast bad boyz compilation was fire. I got the hook up soundtrack had slaps too. P had those 12s smacking

Yeah, the world doesn't appreciate what he did. I think most people don't understand what he did. I've had this conversation a few times. This guy was really given all the power from Priority. He was able to sign whomever and put out albums whenever he wanted. In 98 he put out an album every two or three weeks with no one to answer to and no promotion. Just pics in magazine and maybe a video. You saw the tank and you had to buy it. Then when he was at his peak, he quit running the show to go play in the NBA and basically made the Hornets but he was a rapper so they didn't want him. Can you imagine a rapper or exec quitting while selling multi platinum records and trying to play a pro sport today? That's crazy as hell to think of.
