Naw this was heavily debated. Back in the day and Makaveli is Pacs best cd

Even the who had the better song All eyes on me vs Nas Street Dreams or Notorious Thugs vs Thug luv the better Bone thugs feature

One reason is that the proud'm going with All Eyez On Me because:

1. The production was great and versatile

2. The number of features on the album was amazing

3. The is a mixture between party songs and songs that educate

4. Pac just went in on the album, holding nothing back

5. The amount of quotable verses

B.I.G.'s album on the other hand was commercial and was leaning towards pop status. Some of the songs on the album were nothing but bragging about money and females (not saying All Eyez On Me didn't have those songs either).

Both are slightly overrated to me and have too much filler. Each could have threw away at least 4 or 5 songs but with all that said, I prefer AEOM

I agree with everything you said about AIOM and disagree with everything you said about LID.

LID only had a few commercial/radio records. Hypnotize, Mo Money Mo Problems, Going Back to Cali, **** You Tonight and maybe I Love The Dough. I think people get fooled cuz Mo Money Mo Problems was so big they think that was most of the album. Most of LID was street ****. BIG doing his mafia/coke rap storytelling. AIOM had more fit for radio songs than LID.

I can see what you're saying. It just seems more commercial to me. When Pac released The Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory you can tell he really wasn't with that commercialism. I know it's not a valid point in the thread but this is what I think.

He was with the commercial ****. Pac was versatile. He could do radio records w/o them sounding corny or watered down. California Love can be played at the blackest club to the whitest party.

This I agree with. I'm not saying he didn't make commercial **** but I don't think he was really with it.

Personally for me it's:

All Eyez On Me

Me Against The World

Strictly 4 My *.*.*.*.*.*.

The Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory

2Pacalypse Now

AEOM was like letting an animal out the cage. The first song he just hits you hard as ****. I love both albums, they both have filler. BIG had more filler on his album. I loved the production on AEOM and Pac's energy. Just happy and hungry as hell.

Hard To Find is a underrated joint from AEOM. That was a classic westcoast feeling fly record. :pimp:

Y'all know Danny Boy came out the closet now too long ago?

Both would be phenomenal one disc albums if u get rid of all the filler. And both albums disc one is far superior to disc two. For me personally I've listened to All Eyez On Me far more.

i dont take anyone seriously who says Life after death had filler... ish was a masterpiece front to back.

All Eyez On Me. It was the epitome of Pac's versatility.

I was just listening to it the other day. One of the hardest intros ever, and it had some filler, but not nearly as much as people say IMO.

Over time my favorite record on the album has changed. At the moment though, Ratha be ya ***** and Run The Streetz are it for me.

Oh so you don't believe a *****,

just cook for a *****,

pleazeeeeeee....

make some of that **** you made last week,

some of them ribs and ****,

I be back thru later tonight,

I'm finna have some weed, we finna drink some hennessy and some alize, we finna eat that food,

smoke a lil blunt, lay up in the bed,

watch a, jay leno a summin',

then after that ****, we could do whatever comes to mind baby

Makaveli really is the greatest man. Too many records that are just sooooooo good.

AIOM disc 2 is the best summer time riding around album

Can't C Me
Picture Me Rollin'
Ratha Be Ya _
All Eyez on Me
Run Tha Streetz
Ain't Hard 2 Find

:pimp: :pimp:

Then you had other records where Pac was going right at Big and the Girl that accused him of rape, like on the first verse of Holla At Me which is criminally underrated to me.

Makaveli got too many records

To this day I don't know why he changed the name from Euthanasia or whatever to All Eyez On Me though.

What are you talking about? Euthanasia was going to be the name of the label (before he decided on Makaveli Records), he had a chain and all. The chain broke that night in Vegas when he was stomping out that gang member.

I heard he was talking about Stretch in that verse.

Never knew that. Did my googles.
