Even if he does, to know all this and still defend him makes it worse. Even more reason to put this bubble boy that loves to speak out of turn and word vomit the first thing he thinks of without thinking on ignore.

As a cat who's spent a lot of time in the heights and who still goes there on a very regular basis, I understand why NH has the mentality that he has.
I think I've said this before but it's very easy to put yourself in this very comfortable bubble, living in the heights.
The cops patrolling your neighborhood are often time hispanic cats that came up in the area.
Drugs are sold fairly easily without too much **** from the cops so long as peace and order is maintained.
I don't really see where racism would come into play if you spend your whole life in the heights.?

Ever had a thing with hipster chick that lives in Williamsburg who's got the most Wettest and hairy ***** you ever seen, got invited to a Williamsburg party and had people look at you like you shouldn't be with her?

NH - unlike other cats on this site, I can understand why you feel the way you do as a heights resident cause I see this comfort myself all the time.
I love bodegas, Fritura spots, Mia Sushi being lit on a Monday night.
If my girl didn't drag me out of uptown I'd still be living that life myself and loving it.

What i ask you is, why can't you acknowledge that there are real racial issues when you leave the heights?
That there are crooked police departments that have been exposed for targeting minority groups.
There's a whole world outside of the heights where a post racial mentality is not even close to being reality.

WHY DONT YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THESE THINGS?

-u know my neighborhood is all colors of Hispanics, so u can attest that it means nothing when you're in a ethnicity enclaves.

-downtown parties outside da meat packing district is [emoji]128169[/emoji] uptown party scene been more lit foryears now

-some of da best hispanic food is in da heights/Dyckman... ANOTHER roof top club/lounge restaurant opening up on Sherman ave next spring.

-no one has denied racism dont still exist, but you of all people KNOW that post racial communities live and thrive, with many people never having to worry about race or even having a conscious opinion on it. some of these guys should visit some notable enclaves.

go ahead let him ruin this thread (w yall help) like he did the white fragility thread :smh:

It's ridiculous man. This thread had something good going til he popped up. I'm honestly more disappointed in the ones that entertain his nonsense than I am with him because yall should know better.

You right, but it's hard to ignore da buffoonery :smh:

It's not that God damn hard man. Step 1 recognize he's an idiot step 2 proceed accordingly. Yall steady get suckered into talking with this fool as if he plays by the same rules. He's not interested in logic or reason and that's why you'll never win and the back and forth will never end. For ***** sake man smarten up. 'He who angers you conquers you'. Stop getting dragged down by the same bull **** EVERY SINGLE TIME

You don't get to a post racial society, let us just call it a better more just society, not by sticking you head in the sand.

You get to it by openly and honestly discussing race, systemic racism, and reconstruct our society to fight against it, and all future manifestations

It is always theory v. practice. So it is not about people not seeing race, it is about the social and economic outcomes that people get are not affected by their race or ethincity.

yeah well part of that is taking a more conciliatory approach and understanding that race isn't something everyone deals with, and yelling at em telling them their actual reality is wrong isn't helpful.

that whiteness project highlights it over and over again.

cuz when da rubber hits da roads...whats da end game? reparations? when people you scold at with different vantage points fall back all day way from this whole convo thing...whats next, telling them they owe people they never met for things 250+ years ago they never did?

good luck with that.

You see the dismissive ******** I am talking about. Yes that is all black people are fighting for, for reparations from white people.

Not economic or social justice. All this is for a check.

umm reparations been framed as economic justice forever thou

ur insults do little to hide da fact that racial conversations have a end game...

policies are da end game...last time i checked? $$$$ was front & center in that BLM proclamation.

also, scolding people who share yiur sentiments in prison reform from across da political spectrum aint helpful either...but ur such a ideologue u cant see passed ur nose with your zealotry :smh:

thats all u got... da at this point passe' trope of "house N" :smh:

its old b.

coming from a guy that's gonna vote for Hillary Clinton thats TELLING u to ur face she just gonna clap to da tap dancing BLM via da leaked DNC emails its delicious irony. [emoji]128521[/emoji]

ninja wants to act like racism doesn't exist and uses da heightz as an example. this kid is so caught up in his fantasy bubble that he neglects nationwide/worldwide issues. yet, he wants to be a know it all.

ninja supports trump and doesn't see the hateful message he displays. ninja is all sorts of delusional

So do the white people who stand up against the Trump types and understand how injustice works also hating white people.

Dude is black as hell and sounds just like conservatives from Alabama.

Me: Treat us fairly
Jim bob: Why do you hate white people so much?

ninja acting like he is not part of the problem. it is self hating people like himself that are the problem. only acknowledging certain issues when it pertains to his opinion. he is really acting like he is separate from the crowd. quite laughable and sad at the same time

Lives in post racial society.

Sees POTUS get called a ****** every single day.

Can't go to certain areas near my hometown without getting weird looks.

"Wow you are so well spoken"

"I don't see race." Two hours later "and this black girl was being loud as hell"

more like people cant digest da fact that there are millions of people of all races (approximately half) that already feel we're in a post racial society.

once da United States goes full no majority ethnicity..

this race conversation will be less relevant and class will play a much larger role.

[h1]Abdul-Jabbar: Insulting Colin Kaepernick says more about our patriotism than his[/h1]

I would argue that actively seeking out the flaws in one's country and seeking to improve them is true patriotism.

All these people whining about Kaepernick with their "if you don't like it, leave da country" attitudes are sticking their heads in the sand and show no interest in improving their country or even acknowledge those flaws. That's not patriotism, that's delusion.

says da guy who is waiting for a damn piece of paper that declares he is neither black nor white. you claim there is no racism yet there is clear evidence of it. your beloved trump supporters show it all the time.

simple minded people criticize with nothing no constructive ideas. it's much easier to talk smack about something and not bring anything to improve the situation.

It seems like what you're saying is racially segregated neighborhoods are evidence of a post racial society or mindset. Seems exactly the opposite imo. The fact you couldn't live downtown and have this same experience and mindset is the proof that it is not a post racial society. I don't really understand what you are arrguing, we should racially segregate ourselves to get rid of racism? Makes zero sense.
