NFL Week in Review: Week 3 aka The Carson Wentz Thread

Seattle's back? :nerd:

Bills just saved the Ryans jobs...for the next month at least

Pitt . Same ****,different year

Pretty cool seeing 2 rookie QB's flourishing in the NFC Least

Eagles definitely look tough so far

Vintage Jets

#FreeBolo, should've freed himself when he had the chance but I guess it'd be a gargantuan task to relocate the entire Rivers clan

Eli being Eli,nothing to see there besides his losing record to Kirk Cousins

ODB won the battle but Norman's been winning the war so far...

Packers back...to beating up on their doormats .

Vikes and their D are highkey starting to look scary...

Ravens are the one of the weakest looking 3-0 teams I've seen;s/o to Steve Smith though  :smokin

Cards  ,playoff Carson showed up early :smh:. Arians

Dunno wth the 9ers think theyre going to achieve with Gabbert at QB when dude even flamed out with the Jags :x

Elway won

?

ON EAGLES:

I figured we would have a good start to the season just because of who we played (browns and bears) and had a chance to be 3-1 early (again, because of who we play after the bye)

figured we would be able to beat bad teams and the good teams on our schedule would beat us, but hopefully we grew during the course of the season and those games would get closer against the better teams (none of that was dependent on QB play or offense, because really my expectations were for them to not screw up and turn down all the turnovers of the last 2 seasons)

I knew our front 4 would be good on defense, but I had no clue they would be this good.. they might be able to save our secondary and give us a chance vs the better teams on our schedule.. because really some of the better teams on our schedule are going through OLine issues (seahawks, Vikings and packers)

chip playing vinny at 3-4 end was actually sorta a blessing in disguise for us.. now on obvious passing downs, we slide him inside to DT with fletch.. at that point you just gotta hope the refs just let you get away with holding

if lane loses his appeal and has to sit for 10 games.. that will be a big blow for us

if we have the possibility of getting anything for ryan Mathews and/or sproles, we have to take it in a heartbeat.. barner and smallwood are our best backs and extremely cheap.. plus upcoming draft being deep as hell (moving the two would give us even more money for free agency)

REST OF LEAGUE:

- man if the dolphins took that L

- chargers gotta be cursed

- lil disappointed I didn't get to watch more of the giants/skins show.. I have no clue how eli won those 2 super bowls vs the pats/hoodie, none

- no clue who thought putting the bears in primetime on back to back weeks was a good idea.. especially when you had Vikings/panthers, giants/skins or hell even the battle for PA

Pats looking scary

Siemian played well yesterday and what's stopping the Broncos vs Pats AFC championship (besides the ravens stopping them not srs)

Why did I sit Emmanuel Sanders for fantasy

Eagles and especially the Vikings defense looking great

Fitzpatrick went full Delhomme yesterday

Pat Pete with a hell of a interception

Great offense, extremely suspect defense. Good for maybe a playoff W but not much else

Giants suck

Eli made Odell cry

Steelers and Cards frauds

Eagles will win the NFC East

A-Rod can only play well at home

Forgot to mention the Eagles' defense, that may have been more impressive than their offense

And you said to wanted him to sit this season so he won't get 'shell-shocked'...

Both were popular opinions cause let's be honest, nobody knew what to expect.

Opinions are allowed to be fluid Sometimes...

But I wasn't out spewing how he was gonna be so epic bust before he ever played a down

These are hardly the same thing

**** happens. Ya'll wanted to believe Chip Kelly was a genius.

a team is going to have to go multiple WRs to beat us, like on every down.. forget running cause it wont work with bennie and beau (and hicks)

you have to attack our CBs to beat us (and preoccupy our safeties, hence multiple wideouts).. but the problem comes trying to pass protect against our front 4, even in base we got fletch plus 2/3 of our DEs (graham, vinny and barwin.. and logan isn't a slouch either at the other DT spot)

I think we go after stephon Gilmore hard in offseason cause we'll have money and he played for Schwartz before (a free agent CB might actually work for once with philly.. well since troy Vincent, asante too I guess)

Out of reps. But true.

That was the most impressive thing to me...the way their defense was flying!!! Even the dbs were sound in their assignments and flying to the rock...and like I said, Malcolm Jenkins was on one. He had some great one on one plays vs Antonio Brown. The front 7 goes without saying...

Shwartz is a great coach...

All in all Philly looking like a tough team to play...good qb play + great defense..

honestly, the last thing I would have expected out of chip was for him to be stubborn and rigid.. from what I saw of him at Oregon (and read about him when he was at new hamsphire) and his first year with the eagles, dude seemed prepared to adapt to the hand he was dealt

adjust to fit his personnel.. but nope.. last two years, dude decided he was going do what he was going do no matter what.. our WRs were/are crap, go 3 WRs every down.. ertz guy pretty good, nah continuing to play kkkooper.. or Vinnie curry getting 9 sacks playing under 30% of snaps, let's cut his snaps even more the next year

just didn't get it

Dak and Carson. They look good but Im not falling for it. Seen to many flash in the pan type dudes. Need at least 2 solid years before I annoint anyone. To many dudes had NExt because of a good stretch or season only to turn out to be trash

Cowboys-looked good against the bears. Have no idea how we kept terrance Williams as our number two wr. Dude is garbage. Our d hasn't looked as bad as advertised. We got a great shot at the division. We'll get better as our suspended dudes start coming back as the season goes on.

Cardinals-not who we thought they were.
Vintage Carson. Usc don't produce great QBs.
I thought that defense was considered elite. Nah.

Steelers- never was that high on them. Defense been garbage, D'Angelo old as hell and other then brown they wr aren't nice.

Bears and Browns will be at it for who can suck more for that number one draft pick.

Aaron Rodgers and the packers played a great first half. Don't know what the hell happened after that.

Raiders easily the most overrated team before the season started. Paper Champs.
Struggled against the garbage titans . Same ish different year. Raiders mediocre once again.

Knew the Vikings were real after last year's one and out playoff game. Wasn't surprised they shut down the Panthers. Vikings are winning the central.

Fitzpatrick - jets fans were praisinf him. Before the season started. Dude always been the same QB since Buffalo..

-A-Frod lighting up the same team that Andrew "Turns the Ball Over Too Much" Luck lit up in week 1. Meh...

Rodgers def is a front runner and looks to only play good at home. He better hope he lands home field for the playoffs cuz outside of it he's kinda shaky

^realest two things said in here so far

The Good:
- Viking defense
- Wentz’s scramble and TD pass to Sproles
- NE defense
- Dak and Zeke
- Fraudgers first half
- OBJ’s second half
- TY’s game winning catch and run

The Pathetic:
- Fitztragic
- Eli
- Steelers
- Carson Palmer
- OBJ’s tempter tantrum
- Rookie TE on SD
- Cody Parkey

as for my Pats...Bill is definitely the greatest coach of all time. and the best part of all this is, we're only going to get stronger come week 5 and once Gronk gets 100%

DSA, I need someone to explain how eli & co somehow outsmarted hoodie twice in the super bowl.. like I really don't get it

1) Giant pass rush
2) David Tyree and Manningham
3) Wes Welker

Eli's throw to Manningham was a thing of beauty. I will give him that much. that throw could not have been better.

Chester is partly right. that Denver pass rush in Peyton's last year did what the Giant pass rush did to us in those Super Bowls

sweet throw that landed incomplete and drew a flag. i heard flacco can throw it a mile too and draw PI, too. in fact, i think there's a cartoon about that on the interwebz somewhere

I know, much rather see Tommy Dumppass throw a five yard out to his TE.
