I think she does, she's making it publicly uncomfortable for her brother. By using Magic as a proxy, Jim goes against the most beloved Laker ever, whatever little capital he has with the fanbase, sponsors, other executives goes kaput. He'll have no choice but to step down or get fired, yet Jeanie doesn't technically have to do it.

Jeanie knows exactly what she's doing. The leaks, the Magic hire. What we're seeing here is a public sibling rivalry play out. They're both fighting for control of the team and this is gunna end badly. Jim isn't going quietly lol. This is going to get very messy.

signing him 2-3 years ago, and trading for him at his current age while probably trading some of the assets we were lucky to acquire because we didnt sign him are two different things

That's why I respect organizations like Spurs & Miami. Very quiet. Very clean. Everything is handled behind the scenes. There are rules and innovation followed.
We are just lookin real funny in the light right now. On the the court and off the court looking a mess. Smh.
