Throughout the years, Nike and many other clothing brands have collaborated. The clothing brands such as Gucci or Supreme have collaborated with Nike. Many brands that have collaborated with Nike get a boost in success or popularity. Now Nike doesn't just collab with clothing brands, they also collab with many pop stars such as Kanye West. But they're is really only one reason these sneakers sell (in my opinion), the hype. What I mean by the "hype" is the limited quantity of the sneakers. An example of hype is when you see a sneaker which you are not initially pulled to, but then you hear there is only 100 pairs. This makes every body go crazy over that pair of shoes. Now Nike isn't the only one doing collabs, many clothing brands are doing collabs such as Adidas, Louis Vuitton, ect. The collab with Adidas and Kanye West really picked Adidas off they're feet again. Many other brands are considering collabs because they are very effective with popularity.
