This brought up a good point of discussion. How can these people hide behind the guise of Christianity and commit such heinous acts in the name of God?

It's the difference between a cultural and spiritual Christian.
 
TBH we have a country full of cultural christians.

The entire holiday season is built on a "cultural" Christianity and exploited for $$$

But nobody wants to identify as a cultural Christian because of the negative stigma it brings. That moment you admit to bastardizing your faith and then just simply admitting that you're a liar and have been lying to yourself just to make yourself feel good about being a real Christian.

I do not have all of the answers but this race war in America has been going on well before 1619, with one side dominating and winning. As Martin suggested though, the tide is indeed turning, and white american people living with white privilege see the writing on the wall, thus their invitation to Europeans to join America in the fight to preserve white privilege in pivotal nations, especially america. You speak of solution, there aren't any outside of total decimation of white patriarchal rule, which is the source of racism, sexism, and xenophobia. White males and those who identify with white supremacy, really do not want to go down without a fight. This whole campaign electing Trump was an alarm to those white men in this country who feel as if there is no place for them. Before the election there was an article about how white men of a certain age demographic were killing themselves at a higher rate than most of the american population. White men, as stated in the interview, hate competition, they fear it if they think they are superior to others by divine right, or even through genes. This mindset isn't looking for a solution other than getting what they want. I for one feel that this is not going to end well for them, and with their choice of weapons, their only option is to lose. Just like Roland suggested, bring it.

Good point.

I wasn't referring to only that part. My way of thinking on Civil Rights has shifted in the past few years. I think marching, complaining, debating, protesting and appealing to racists white people's sense of morality is and has been a huge waste of time. Rather than try to change things with methods that have become dated and less effective, we really need to start a sort of separatist movement where we only deal with each other when possible.
 
Yeah, I'm not down with a separatist movement.

Not an idea I ever rocked with, or have ever came around to.
