who pays on a first date???

shouldn't be dropping cash on a first date really unless you already knew each other for a while

For a first date I thinks its always best to take her somewhere nice that doesnt require money. At this point, you should already have a few spots in your city that you can go chill with a lady for free. Take her there first. Vet her, and if she is still worth it THEN take her on a money spending date...and pay.

And even then, make it inexpensive and fun. Protect you wallet and make her work her way up to the more expensive dates. If she aint wit it, she aint worth it. Especially if you are entertaining your options. Otherwise, you risk taking multiple Ls if you strike out on all your current prospects.

just easiest to not spend the money in the first place...go for a walk in the park

Facts, I promise myself this year I'm not paying for no more dates. Until she my girl dating is dead, trying to be full savage this year. Treat all women the same, either I'm linking at her crib or she linking to mines. No time waste 2017 :pimp:

Yeah you got to remember not to turn on the alarm and unlock your door with the key..

*if your car door has a key hole

no way I'm paying first time around. especially if chick on the phone.

The guy should pay for the first date always, just make it a reasonable one

It all depends...unless i know her for a minute now we split it. i dont mind paying for the first date but she better offer in order to even have another chance .

I pay. I'm a man. Now the real question is, is she worthy of a date or just Starbucks and smash?

Second date, usually she's paying.

oh lawd, had a date recently and she was on her gaddamn phone the whole time.

Did you say anything to HER about it being an issue?

If not, how should she know she was being "disrespectful."

I say that to say, times are different now. She might not have ever been checked on the phone thing. Maybe her and her family all go out and sit on their phones during dinner.

Is she an adult?

She could've spent her time looking at a napkin it would be disrespectful. Point of a date is to engage, the times has **** all to do with it.

She might be but again, perspective needs to be considered.

"Common Sense" tells me that someone SHOULD know that it is disrespectful to be on your phone while out, but again, we have no idea what happens in her life that makes her believe it is OK.

Her and her friends/family might do it.

She might do it when she does out on other dates. Dudes she go out with might do it.

So I am simply saying, she honestly might not even know it is disrespectful.

So the easy thing to do is simply tell her, "I don't operate like that. Put the phone up."

Fair enough. Something as simple as that though let someone else mold her.

I tend to keep the first date inexpensive just to vet her. In those cases I don't mind paying. But if I feel it isn't going anywhere or she's not into it (on the phone and whatnot), I just cut it short right there, split the bill and keep it moving.

And who are these people saying whoever asks pays. So women regularly ask you on first dates? This is unheard of to me outside of the Alicia Keys song.

Smart man

Totally agree.

If your a real man, your gonna take care of transportation and expenses on a date. The only thing a woman is responsible for is dressing her best, being communicative before the date and ready to go when picked up, and giving you her undivided attention. That's it.

Smh. I remember this happened to e on Valentines Day. Smh

I'm not opposed to this.
