Man Dr Dao's lawyer eviscerated United Airlines in that press conference. United Airlines doesn't stand a chance

It's hard to turn away when dude speaks. I think the lawyer can convince the jury to stand on their heads if he wants to.

Bruh, I was about to give him all my money...... But seriously, looking at his resume, he's like the Michael Jordan of personal injury lawyers in Chicago.

He's settled before from anywhere from ten million to a billion

At this point, he probably doesn't even take cases unless he knows it's a slam dunk

They don't wanna stop overbooking. It's how they make money lol

i get that, even the lawyer called them out on this by comparing us to cattles. If people would focus on the bigger picture here, and change this overbooking thing, then this will or should never happen again in the long term, correct?

Thing is... The plane wasn't Overbooked. They wanted to bump people for employees.
but not even their employees employees of another company

itd be like if you were in the nba flying on the team plane and then they take your seat for a d-leaguer

I don't think anyone wants to stop overbooking. It's good for the airline and believe it or not, it's good for us cuz it keeps ticket prices down.

They just got to do a better job of auctioning off the seats they want open before everyone boards, and avoid bumping ppl who really don't wanna be bumped. I think if they auction properly, you're always going to find a volunteer. Everyone has a price. It's just that that they stopped a price, didn't go higher than that and was like, 'f it, let's just force someone involuntarily off a place.'

It's just poor thinking. What they did. Paying someone 10000 in cash or check to leave the plane > getting sued for millions because of beating someone up + that bad PR

The thing is this flight wasn't even overbooked lol. United tried to flex its muscles by punking and lying to its paying customers. Everybody who was involved in this situation should be fired.

i think it comes down to policy and their insistence on employees sticking strictly to that protocol

if employees had power to make decisions in "flex" situations like that maybe theyd handle these situations better

but no higher up wants to think about employees giving away money that can be used for a new yacht or car or house

imo if they wanted to place employees AFTER the fact everyone is ALREADY seated, then the plane is booked. Why not prepare the seating even before the customers board on the plane?

They should've put the customers first and found a different way for the employees to get to their destination.

I mean you work for an airline...lol...

but then again i can see the shadyness on the airlines side

The airline has so much money. Cuz they scared now they refunded everyone who was on that plane their money. Tells me if they really wanted to they could've paid someone enough money to leave.

They really just wanted to flex to show Dao they hard and they're paying for it in millions now lol
