@a blinkin
How you rock with More Life but Take Care only as one track you like from arguably his best project. You may have been going through something different in your life when both albums dropped.

You may be on to something here tbh. I was in a weird stage in life when Take Care dropped. Girl I was with back in college was leaving me, I was a broke college student, trouble with my moms, pops passed, etc.

More Life dropped a few months ago and this has easily been one of the best years of my life.

Damn, I just had an epiphany on NT.
Congratulations dude :smokin keep pushing!

When are you coming back out here?

#1 hater rule

Never praise someone in power

Wait till the fall off and are not hot anymore to talk good about them...

That's why all this Wayne talk is a joke  when Wayne was poplin none of these bums were like "omg I love lil Wayne, he's the greatest" Joe budden wouldn't be praising Wayne in 2008 -2010 he only saying it now cuz it's cool to say and he's not currently at his high point. Almost like pity. If he didn't praise Wayne he'd be attacked. When drake retire he'll be doing the same thing...

and you think people don't listen to you, because of your age

There were people who disliked Jay-Z, Nas, Pac, Big etc. the difference is, back then the MAJORITY of rappers were good and the music was competitive. Drake isn't my cup of tea. I'm not a fan. This era of hip hop is unoriginal and non competitive. There's nothing wrong disliking Drake. Maybe his music doesn't resonate with certain demographics or people. Not every is contrarian, just to go against the status quo. I didn't like 2005-present, as I did 97-2004 lil Wayne, some people grade artists differently. Does not take away from the artist.

I have a 17 year old cousin who despises Drake. So, not everyone of this generation likes him.
Lastly, I'm not some "old head" who's bitter. Drake is older than me . I can't vibe with his music.

I feel like people criticizing Joe Budden to much, with his Drake stance

It was competitive to a fault. The biggest issue back then was fanboys.

Like you couldn't like Biggie AND Pac or Nas AND Jay. It was competitive to the point you had to pick sides.

Nas and Jay deaded things a decade ago, have done numerous songs and people still dislike one, because of Takeover and Ether. You can't enjoy another rappers music, because of some loyalty to another dude you never met?

Didn't say any bad broads. The pics I've seen from his older ones had joints everywhere, **** looked unreal.

Joe is definitely hating. I don't like the music Drake been making but to act he's not making a big impact is crazy. You can't go anywhere w/o hearing his pop records.

I don't disagree. He's basically saying Views and More Life got shidded on and people are getting tired of Drake. I don't think he's wrong. You're seeing more and more people speak out against him. I know the people around me either stopped listening to him or listen to his **** much less. My girl used to rock with all that Drake music, stopped listening to him after Views. Said that **** was too B made. Sounds and people get old no matter what. That doesn't mean he's fallen off and he's done but he's not where he was when NWTS or If You're Reading dropped.

I will say this about Joe. He's fake when it comes to some of these artists. He low-key HAS or dances around shidding on people like Future, Wayne, Khaled and Drake. One interview or podcast he'll kind of speak honestly and then another he'll have to go with the masses. I guess not to get killed or something. He was laughing about Khaled's last album when it dropped. Now on the show he's saying it was great and he's always excited......

keep pushing!

Appreciate it fam.

Actually going to be out in DC next weekend. We gotta link.
Just hit me up

iamdef iamdef More Life was a melting pot of a lot of genres, at this point in his career I don't consider Drake a rapper, just an artist who can rap...but when he's making records like Passionfruit, I don't think even he's looking to maintain a "rap" image either

He mixes both at unequal rates. Take care had rap but the rnb/singing was outweighing and outshining the rap. Nwts was almost equal but the rap outperformed the singing. Iyrtitl was alot of rap. Views the singing outshined the rap. More life is a good mix but it wasnt pushed at all so idk if it should even be considered an album.

Impossible when he sucks singing

Of course you don't

there's nothing to consider

it's an album

to me it was just semantics so if it had the same response as views it could be written off as not counting

if your project is debuting as #1 on billboard it's a damn album

Basically. If you're selling it and it's all original songs, it's an album. Don't drop some garbage and call it a mixtape to save face

More life goes Gold in a week and has over a billion streams yet people are tired of him. It's like people can't even be objective anymore. Just full on hate

I don't think anyone is discrediting Drakes popularity. They just dislike his music or persona. Which is a persons opinion...
