that's an insult to compare him to either of those players, God Bless Hanks Soul.

Strictly talent wise it would really be Ervin v Larry... and in this category Joey wins.

this one hurt my soul

This is Joey's lane and Jay's not really close it seems too effortless for Joe, to say otherwise is to speak from the passion of a blind fan.

Joe Budden has a myriad of great basketball punchlines

Jay has the one God line with the diesel lifting the eight up.

yo Luol Banga right...

Joey is like the Gerald Wilkins of rap...

...Jigga on the other hand, well IMO has a short catalogue of hoop metaphores compared to Joey...

..even jigga knew to use that Hoop metaphore on that pump-it-up remix

yall not understandin me, Budden is in my TOP 6 and my favorite artist right now.
the analogy im makin is in success/ puttin out albums. personally, just off the lines that come to my head i got Budden >Jay

edit: to explain further, take a look at the players i listed.
Hank gathers, great player, but do to say (God) wasnt able to make it.
Lenny cooke, made some bad decisions ...Joe ruffled a few too many feathers and happened to get placed under the EAGLE (in jay)
has anyone had more bad luck than Joe?

That's totally different and completely unrelated to the topic/conversation at hand tho which is why I said that analogy made no sense.

But in the context you're speaking on while I do admit Hank was a damn good talent I would say a better comparison MJ to a Penny/Grant Hill (all threeshowed flashes of brilliance when they were able, but to date they're seen as a disappointment by the masses, however they are respected by those who knowand love the artform in itself of course)

basketball and hiphop are two of my favorite things in life

really tho, Jay is the rapper who took basketball metaphors to the level its at now, so you of course gotta give him that recognition, but to say that Buddensdont run this category, you either not up on yall music or in some type of stan-denial....

Buddens been nasty. Yo cake, I love that verse. I find myself saying that %+!$ randomly throughout the year.

IMO, It's Fab then Buddens.
