there are a bunch of better options for us but rubio playing for dantoni in LA would be great for his career

nash will always be one of my favorite players ever but what marshall and blake have done this year takes away from his accomplishments IMO

Didn't think about it like this. Very fair assessment.

D'antoni even had Chris Duhon looking like an All Star for a minute in NY. Crazy stuff. If nothing else, if you're an NBA caliber PG playing for D'antoni will get you paiddd.

Fairly sure it was brought up in all the Nash threads back then.

Fairly sure......

A 360 dunk in the NBA is impressive
Not sure if serious.....

Nash turned it into 2 MVPs while crap players can only turn it into " good " games or season. There's a difference.

We know Nash and D'antoni both benefitted from working with one another. Nothing wrong with that.

To claim that proves one or the other was carried by the other is just stupid and reductive.

Oh no here comes the over raing of Mike Dantoni to discredit Steve Nash.

He was the coach smart enough to give Nash the ball and get out of the way, thats really it the rest of the league simply caught up to him.

Mark Jackson was forced a David Lee injury to full Steph Curry spread pick and roll offense but nobody calls him and offensive "genius".

also Chris Duhon played like dog **** with the knicks, like he always does where ever he plays.

Most of the Lakers are still fodder. Just because some of them are putting up numbers on a trash team doesn't make any teams look at them any different. When you have a trash team, numbers are there to be had. Aint no resurrecting going on

they're a mismatch team of players whom nobody wanted and still don't want, Kendall Marshall included

It also can't be a coincidence that, in Nash's prime, the Suns were consistently one of the best teams in the West. Can't say that about any of D'Antoni's post-Suns teams.
