hes one of those bring up kobe randomly in the middle of a conversation about something totally different then complain about why people keep talking about kobe guys

I don't know if the Sonics would have won, but they definitely would have increased their chances. GP was a hell of a defensive guard.
I loved that Sonics team.  They're a classic example, unfortunately, of how tomorrow is never promised even for young exciting squads that seem to have everything.

We gave them one of their tougher tests, but those Jordan teams broke a lot of hearts league-wide.

 totally true.

Both the lovers and haters of Kobe on here will bring him up in the least relevant situations imaginable.

How wild is it that OKC actually waived Tyson Chandler right before he went to the Mavs?

...and then traded for Perkins to try and fill the C position.

It's amazing.

Good or bad....it gets related to Kobe. "5/19....those are Kobe numbers" ...."50 at the Garden...gettin his Kobe on!"....."Forcing shots...looking like Kobe out there :smh:" ...."Fadeaway with a double team in his face. Kobe style :pimp: "

never waived him, rescinded the trade because they thought his big toe was bad. Ironically, the Doctor who made that decision was the same one who originally performed the surgery on it (when the Hornets were in OKC). Not even trusting his own work. He did miss a lot of games those next few seasons (ankle and back though, never toe). Even still, all we traded IIRC was like Wilcox and Mo HerpeTE, still would have been a worthwhile trade.

But to further add to the hindsight, could have taken KD and Noah in 07 instead of Jeff Green. Also drafted Eric Bledsoe and Quincy Pondexter but decided better to trade them and sign Royal Ivey then get Cole Aldrich from the Hornets.

Nobody's perfect

No doubt.  Wasn't even trying to blame OKC so much as to say how significant that event seems in retrospect.  At the time it seemed like Tyson Chandler was on his way to washing out sooner than later.

Yea, he was still somewhat of a doofus, him and Curry used to show up to games together drinking 7-11 ICEES, but an athletic big would have been a welcome addition since I think at the time we had Krstic's soft *** and maybe Robert Swift was still around, Joe "Da Gangsta (his rap name)" Smith. And again, Mo Pete was worthless his whole time here and Wilcox was like a extra light, 0 calorie poor man's Amare wanna be that never contributed to winning in his NBA career.

The clear move is to trade Monroe, ideally for a true SF. Slide Smoove to the 4.

Jennings - KCP - SF - Smith - Drummond

Evan Turner is all they need :smokin

Do it Joe :smokin

MCW, Monroe, Noel and two top 10 picks in this draft plus the most cap room in the league :smokin :smokin :smokin

i dont get why boozer never plays in the 4th quarter, they could really use his scoring
He has been cold of late and is a defensive liability
when you're playing a scrub lakers team and only score 15 in the 4th you should probably give him a shot

like i get that hes not the best defender but theres no reason to never play him in the 4th

there was that 3 OT game earlier this season and he only played 30 minutes
