Everybody is here talking up the woman based on what OP said, but she can't be too great of a woman if she spent 5 years with a bum. Women need better skills in who they choose to mate with. Just because a man decides to be a father to a kid doesn't mean he'll be a good one. Sometimes it's best that the son isn't raised by the biological sperm.

OP, besides smokin weed, exactly what part of the "street life" are you tryin to hang onto?
Cause if its to get some money, I dont see why you cant hustle AND get a better job.
If anything you should be hustlin harder just off the fact you got a kid comin.
But I suspect that the real reason you havent found another job is because you cant pass a drug test and dont wanna stop smokin weed.
Put the blunt down for a little while. You can smoke all you want when you are better established.
Get all the money you can stacked up so that your kid has a real chance at life when it arrives.
And that is what it means to grow up. In case you didnt understand what everyone who has already said it in this thread meant by that. Its not to put you down, its simply the answer to your question.
