it's just knitted differently in certain areas to make it tighter, don't think they were shaving materials off. Correct me if I'm wrong

That's exactly what they did, they redesigned the pattern to supposedly be more ideal for running. Definitely doesn't shave any material away and wouldn't be any cheaper to produce. If anything it seems like it'd be more expensive.

Depends on the colorway, if you're talking about the triple white gradients from yesterday, I believe they only went down to a 6.5...
