This is one scenario but obviously not a sole reason to get it but say you are in a meeting and want to read text without pulling out your phone. The watch might be a subliminal way to do it.

People spend hundreds on watches and all they do is tell time....why can't i want a watch that does TONS of things?????

It will track your heart rate which takes the place of a heart rate sensor too which will sync up with a fitness app im sure and track your health goals.  That alone is enough....oh and it tells time...and sends messages....and plays music

yea when you think about it ppl spend racks on racks on watches aka like a movado that is made of cheap material hell doesnt even have a calender or number dials and on many models has a fake leather band... but a watch that is basically a mini pc at a cost that is significantly cheaper is stupid now...
