This. I had half of my right lung removed and my specialists told me it's fine to vape.
I don't even like the weed high that much but it's the only other pain relief medication I can take that doesn't interact with my opiates. It works pretty well. Makes me sleep better too.

I hate the hypocrisy of people who smoke every day but getting drunk is a bad thing

Which one do you think is more harmful to yourself, and others?

As an avid drinker (couple beers most nights, plenty more on the wknd nights), I'll freely admit alcohol is much worse.

It is worse but the weed smokers typically act like they aren't dependent on it. Like, how you gonna smoke 4 times a day and act like there isn't a specific reason why you are smoking that much.

alcohol is def. worse IMO but weed smokers aren't always exactly the healthiest folks

but their holier than art thou attitude is what gets me and the funny part is people who quit smoking once they settle down and start drinking more, it's just replacing one with another

This is how I feel too.

Natural stuff like cannacoconut oil or budder for cooking is where it's at.

I smoked after 6PM.

Specifically to do hobbies and activities such as video games, porn,movies, food.

I only smoked during the day to visit museums and aquariums etc etc

It was only associated with such hobbies for me.

Never needed it to sleep or be a better person during the day.

Have you ever stopped to ask yourself what you enjoy doing besides drinking? Serious question here. Maybe you need to do some soul searching and find yourself. I do not recommend smoking weed or any mind altering drugs because they won't help you get to the root of your problem, they'll only help mask them temporarily.

I think this is the best response.

OP, just take the time to do "soul searching". You are probably hella young, so you are probably already contemplative. First, Without "anything" or anyone , prepare to ask yourself hard questions, questions about morals, goals, plans, happiness and etc. Get comfortable with asking the "why's" and the solution, the path onward will come after.

You will get both a positive and a negative like everything else, you'll have to accept that. But yeah, just take the time. Also, if you want to talk and what not. Approach your fam or even the internet.


Get after it.
 
edibles are a diff beast...can really knock you on your *** if you take too much. you have to be aware of your tolerance cuz its a stronger high and dial in your dosage. these banana breads that my local dispensary makes help me fall asleep fast before bed. if im going out ill take half or a third.

Metabolism is also key. The faster your metabolism, the quicker it is to get the high and vice versa.


Although, it is not the same. Edibles is the healthiest approach (( if it is none candy/cookie/brownie)).:D

I'm in my 8th month of sobriety and actually wish I had this book when I was early in my recovery. It def puts my mind at ease when I get bored and reading it before I go to social events or even before AA meetings is great! Always remember there was a time when you didn't drink and you were enjoying life then! My Bday was monday and I celebrated by going to SFMOMA with my wife, it was a great day and very meaningful as it was my first birthday in over 10 years where I was sober the entire day! Hang in there, it gets better, and surround yourself with people who will support you, that really helps.

And when I ask you about please don't bring up how alcohol is worse. I am not talking to you about alcohol. That is how I know you're lost.
I only smoke after work... on weekends ill blaze after breakfast and another at night... since i been blowing trees regularly (10 yrs) i havent been drinking much at all which is a plus... weed is addictive but its not physical its mental... more so a habit . Habits can be broken.

but i mean, you can go out and have a few drinks on the weekend, and NOT be an alcoholic. i know plenty people that do this.

All of this. Plus I was able to quit weed easily like 10 times with no problems
 
I quit drinking some years ago, I don't keep track of it like that because I don't really care I just don't drink anymore it's not like it defines me, but it's been at least four years.

Anyways I used to smoke like a chimney. Like a qp a month. Slowly I tapered off without even thinking about it. Now I smoke like 3x a month and I'd rather just eat it.

Figured I'd share that since everyone is acting like you'll turn into snoop dog if you blaze.

You got to find hobbies bro, I got back into snowboarding and started lifting for example. That keeps me busy and not bored af. Yeah I don't really go to clubs now like you said but whatever. You can go sober but it will suck. You'll only catch me at one for a show or something these days. It really is a whole lifestyle change man. I feel you on that. It was fun while it lasted but gotta grow up sometime. Good luck sir.
 
An addiction specialist will replace your drug addiction with a healthy addiction. Much easier to do this than try to uncover some deep rooted cause. Addicts can't willfully moderate on their own.

Also, nothing wrong with weed. Ppl who get addictions, can be addicted to anything, sugar, food, sex, video games, etc.

Highly recommend the movie, The, Culture High on netflix. Cause in depth on many subjects related to drugs, including addiction.
