Bernie Sanders can win

Just heard that because of the voting system with the democrats with delegates and super delegates that Bernie really didn't win NH but actually tied with Hilary cuz all of the super delegates voted for her.

Sounds like the electoral college vote all over again.

I still don't see Bernie having a legit chance. Especially when it comes to millennials cuz apparently they can go from Bernie to Trump on a whim.

. No one wants Bernie president except the people... Who woulda thought that?... :smh:

Blacks and Latinos need to come through on this vote.

I'm gonna get together to phone bank to Nevada sometime soon. Also going to see if there's anything I can do in my area to reach the Latino community since I'm bilingual in Spanish and English. #SienteElBern

Yea, it's some BS man, the system don't want Bernie to be great. It just motivated me to go even Harder for Bernie. I just got my Bernie bumper stickers in the mail and I'm gonna put one on my toolbox and one on my rear windshield right next to my IBEW logo. :pimp: The Bumper stickers are union made too :pimp: gonna buy a few more as well as some buttons.

I don't really have a problem with super delegates, they serve a smart purpose

Just think they're too many of them.

I aint even sure about Bernie and his revolution if he got in office but I gust got this idea of a billionaire who is also powerful just sitting in a room watching the progress of the primaries just waiting for Hilary to be in debt to the rest of the other power players and when she finally commits or is open to do some favors dude is gonna make a call and just shut down Bernie's whole wave

Bernie Sanders and his supporters are the true definition of daydreamers.

Replace Bernie with Obama and you have what they were saying in '07/'08 . Not comparing the 2 per se,just their proclaimed small odds as huge longshots against the long established and decorated presumptive nominee in Hillary.

I simply don't see it. Now that the primaries go to the South and more "minorities" vote, Bernie will not have a good showing. Although a few individuals in here are going to use their Bernie bumper stickers and toolboxes to help get out the vote for him that simply won't be enough I think.

Also, let's be serious here....between Bernie and Hillary, Hillary has a better chance of beating Trump if he's the nominee instead of Bernie.

Hillary is the elites' / establishment's pick.

Bernie put up a good fight, but he won't win the nomination. If he ran 10-15 years later, he'd have a much better shot.

Is he even going to be alive 10-15 yrs from now? Lol isnt he in his 70s?

True, but I meant a candidate with Bernie's views could run 10-15 years from now and have strong potential to win it all.

Do they even exist? I dont think we will see anyone with that mindset for a while as this person is probably still climbing the ranks. Often times people start off liberal in their youth yet grow up to be "conservatives" look at all the hippies of the 60s and what they are doing now lol

This is not true. Not true at all

Obama was the underdog, he wasn't a long shot.

Which part? The fact that a young one term senator from Illinois was a giant longshot just like the old Jewish socialist from Vermont? Or the fact that Hillary has been the frontrunner in the lead ups to both elections?

*He was a huge longshot from the offset though, that changed as the race went on and he build huge momentum but let's not forget how huge of an upset the 08 primaries were

Hillary was the frontrunner but Obama was not Bernie Sanders level long shot. Plus the 2008 race was a much different beast.

Obama was the progressive candidate, won Iowa, and had the advantage of the more diverse states be to his advantage.

Plus he was a true democrat, so he had support from inside the party.

Bernie upsetting Hillary would be 100x bigger.

Yea I agree that it would probably be an even bigger upset but there was a stronger field in '08. Edwards had a pretty good shot as the progressive choice as well but we know how that ended . He still had to break through a decent pack of candidates. It was still a big upset since most folks had Hilary having a easy run back then as well.

A four seed beating a one seed in the Final Four is an upset

A 16 seed beating 1 seed in the first round is an upset

They not the same in magnitude

2008 was a different beast all together. No Bernie supporter should look to 2008 for hope. Bernie is not Obama

Even the reasons for people Clinton thinking Clinton would win where different back in 2008.

I explicitly said in the first post that I'm not comparing the 2 personally, just the outside odds. It's obvious Bernie is no Obama in style .

Also 2016 is a different beast as well...just look at the Republican side . The "outsiders" are riding most of the momentum at the moment.

I never said you were comparing them in style. Neither I'm I

I am saying, Bernie is not Obama, his path to nomination is not the same as Obama's.

They're definitely on different paths, everything in terms of rules and conventional wisdom seem to have been flipped upside down this time around so it's looking even more unpredictable.

There's a politician or independent or straight up outsider that always thinks in those very different major change ways. They're just building their resume at the moment. PRobably at the Bernie rallies to say they were there when they do run 10 years from now.

Both would wash Trump. Cruz on the other hand would be close. If you don't want GOP to rule then pray Trump actually wins
