My main concern is reliability and performance. I want a V6 in a manual transmission. 

Even though the Camaro makes a little more power it weighs more and performance is pretty much a tie. If maintenance is a concern and your going to be doing alot of driving GM offers a better drivetrain warranty program 5 year 100k vs 5 year 60k for the Stang.

Id go with the Camaro, but Ive always been biased in favor of GM products.

6cyl Mustang actually weighs less than a g37, Camaro is only 50lbs heavier.

if you're going for a V6 i wouldn't even enter da muscle car arena..plenty of worthy V6 choice offerings from Nissan. Hyundai, Honda, infiniti...
