Can I run in Nike Air Jordan 1's?

Hi.

I plan to begin running in my freetime, but then I wondered: "I don't have any running shoes, and I don't really have money for them right now".

So I wanted to ask you. I know my Jordan's got Nike AIR, but can I use them for running without breaking my knees?

Also to mention. I got the high version of the 1's.

Can you run with them? Of course you can. It's a sneaker, you can use them for anything.

But they will NOT be comfortable and will probably be painful in the long run.

Because it's a sneaker, yes you can. However, there are MANY reasons why you shouldn't. Also, if you have existing knee problems, I wouldn't even try it.
