Just got a phone call from "unknown", normally I do not pick up unknowns but this unknown number has been called me 3 times already and I answeredit.
-lady w/ filipino accent says she's from fia card services, part of BoA, tells me to pay $40 now so I do not accumulate a late charge.
-my bill isnt due until 12/18
-I made a $300 payment on saturday but she tells me it wont go through for another 3-4 days, so i can still accumulate a late charge unless i make a payment w/her on the phone.
-tells me i have a great history of paying on time, so why is she calling? never have I had a call from them until now.
-i was skeptical, she told me my last four digits of ssn, my dob.
-wants me to give her my checking account and routing.
-i try to tell her off a bunch of times but persists in having me pay $40.
-i asked for her name and number. its 888-881-4982
-tell her f off and dont call me again, i dont make payments on the phone, especially when somebody calls me for my information.
anybody dealt with this?
