Foams were just not the "it" shoe back then and were more of a niche shoe.

I remember when footlocker employees used to sell Jordans early for like double retail

They were but it was still possible to walk into a store and cop what you wanted for the most part.  

That's not all on resellers. That's on hype and on shoes being trendy now. As a matter of fact, foams weren't for that low low too often since the came back with the 07 royals.

Eh...back then it was still kinda hectic..Especially for Retro Js. Blk/Red XIs, Cool Greys being the extreme examples. Some of the releases if you didnt skip class they would be ghost.

AHH man I can picture them in my head, just cant remember the exact name. I remember that release tho! Back in those days I use to live on this site for every piece of info..from Baby J, etc.

hell no. Purple pigeons were mass GR, it was the original red ones from Staple.

On an Foam related note Im really surprised to see the Obsidians selling so well despite no hype or gimmick. Just a clean colorway moving units.

I have the Obsidians and I love 'em.  They are clean af.

I was going to cop them yesterday but I decided against it.  I got a line on some Yeezy foams instead.
