I had the ****(potato purée with like a poached kinda egg with chives and salt on top) but forgot to take a pic of it

^ Vientian Cafe does have the best angel wings but this new spot is almost as good. It's on Piedmont ave http://www.yelp.com/biz/infinite-thai-eatery-oakland
Vientian uses thinner wings & drumettes resulting in a crispier skin. The sauce at Vientian also is better.

I was genuinely shocked when I looked it up, as I'm from Miami and was interested.
$36 for chicken, even in Miami, to me was

shrimp and cheesy grits. some bacon pieces as well. cooked the shrimp in the bacon grease, needs some lemon juice to cut the grease but too lazy to go down to the store.

shoyru, you have legit cooking skills. I need to start learning how to make staple Filipino dishes. I'm weird and don't like having any meat in pancit anymore. Just want to eat the noodles and vegetables.

You know how to make leche flan? My aunt makes it great and I need to learn from her. I remember a young Filipino mom in the neighborhood tried making it. Turned out pretty bad and the bottom part of the flan looked like scrambled eggs.
